I looked all over the internet and found nothing on how to set up Vocal Rider in Sonar.
The only thing I found was that it did not work in Sonar.
It took me a few hours but I got it to work right.
I made a fast image of how to set it up… One update here... Use the Stereo version of Vocal Rider to get the full impact of your music mix prossesed data under the vocals.

Waves Vocal Rider DOES work in Sonar platinum!

It works perfectly fine for me.  I add the VST into the FX bin of my vocal track, and set the parameters where I want them.
Maybe i'm not doing it right.

Yeah, works perfectly for me too. I may have to rethink how I use it because the way I use it is much simpler, not convoluted enough...

You can use it that way, Dave is showing how to make it respond to the music elements of a mix using a music only bus and Vocal Riders side chain. i.e. when the music amplitude increases the Vocal Rider fader rides up etc.

Of course it would be nice if Sonar had the side chain key available in the plugin, but this works.
