Yeah title says a lot, does it work without problems?

Faderport is a pretty simple and straight forward device so I guess it should "just" work... but I know it's an aging device...

I'm aware of the manual driver validation process with command prompt and I don't care going through it, as long as it work flawlessly...

Any happy users?

If none, which simple device could do a similar job without quirks?

Thanks!

It works and it's pretty decent as is.  However, you may be interested in my post from earlier today regarding the FaderPort and AZ Controller:

The other comparable single fader device would be Frontier Design's Alphatrack.  It seems to be the more popular of the two in this forum.  I have both and I personally prefer the FaderPort's simplicity and elegance but the Alphatrack has a lot more features.  The Alphatrack is no longer in production and is no longer supported but you can find a used one from time to time on eBay.  It's another device that may be brought back to new life with the AZ Controller, also mentioned in the linked post above.

I'm using it with Sonar Platinum with absolutely zero issues. One problem though, I've been using it so long that the paint wore off the buttons and I can't tell which one is which. Kidding...

As long as you read all the documentation on the PreSonus site about using it with SONAR, it works.

Awesome thank you all! Looks like the Faderport deserve a test drive!

Thanks watercourse I'll definitely give the AZ controller a try!

FaderPort works fine for me. Easy to set up and mostly reliable. The Midi in/outs need to be reset every now and again from within Sonar but that's easy enough and not a big deal for me.

I just purchased a PreSonus Faderport and I can't get it to work at all in Sonar Platinum. I've been to the Presonus site and did all their instructions to no avail. It must be some preference setting that I don't have set correctly. Is this an issue Sonar Tech support could help me with on the phone? I have some snippets of my Preference settings but I can't figure out how to upload them in this reply. Appreciate any help you can give.

I'm not sure what OS you're using but watch this video. It fixed mine.

Watched your video link and is the same as the PreSonus web site instructions. I can get it to show up in preferences and all midi settings are the same as in video but still doesn't work. I'm running Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum Jamaica Plain. Here's the PreSonus instructions http://support.presonus.c...ion-for-Cakewalk-Sonar
