I appreciate the explanation.  But it sounds like you're suggesting that I shouldn't bother asking even if I can't use the software.

You absolutely should make the feature request. The remark was probably more along the lines of don't expect much from the request unless you can get more people with you.

Also, we want to keep the code from getting too messy - that's what got cakewalk / SONAR in trouble, or at least probably, in the first place with the buggy reputation and odd nearly unreproducible errors. So when you talk to anyone that doesn't use Cakewalk, their first response is "I'll never use anything that buggy".

It doesn't matter how many features it has if the perception is that no one can use them (even when that perception is wrong, it is still what keeps Cakewalk from making headway).

If it can be done cleanly, having a resizable interface would be wonderful. I'm using a large 27 Inch display. And I keep a set of "readers" handy. And use the Windows Usability Magnifier feature when needed.

You can suggest improvements and feature changes in the first thread under the Sonar header.

Sonar/CbB buggy?

It's no more or less buggy than all the other DAWs...

I can find plenty of bugs in each... if i wish to focus on such. Instead i focus on getting things done. I've completed 8 of my ten solo albums using Cake of some flavor as well as 3 times as many albums for others...

Yup +1
When Splat came to an end I bought Samplitude as a replacement but found I need a hi-powered set of binoculars to avoid eye strain. Most annoying

This is one of the requested features with all software in general.

Making text resizable would basicially mean a ground-up GUI rewrite. Elements would be skewed for years before a fix, since there are so many different resolutions/output devices/users.

I know this won't help but a larger monitor could be a solution. Wall-mounting is out-of-the-way. Use a seperate monitor for graphics work.

Also, there are people that sit far away from the monitor using wireless keyboards+mice & dropdown binocular glasses (not a joke). Or a projector. I see lots of lab workers & number-crunchers with the binocu-glasses. Works for them.

But the above suggestion for Windows Key>+ is certainly useful when docked up top.
