Yeah, it's a negative for me. Otherwise, I really like the new theme, but for practicality's sake, I'm sticking with the old one.

It will be better to introduce an option to enable or disable full colorization.

Its not quite as simple as that unfortunately. Since this is a dark theme the colors of the track controls and text conflict with the colorization of the tracks so this was intentionally not colorized for the entire strip.

So all you guys who desperately need full colourization might need a trip to mercury for a while. Meanwhile Bakers could do some update to make the colours bit more apparent.

I can't help wondering why people who seem to love Tungsten don't use Panu's Duckbar if they really find a dark theme so much better than the default gray theme (I love the default theme, so I've never even considered using Duckbar). Is it because Duckbar isn't compatible with the current version of SONAR (I don't think so, according to the explanation in the above link)? Or do the full-colored strips in the default theme lose their colors when a Duckbar theme is applied (I've just found this image, but the post is from November 2014 when SONAR was X3). Or is it just because people are too lazy to install Duckbar or maybe the default gray theme is actually already good enough?

Because installing a third party, unofficial add-on not supported by Cakewalk to modify Sonar is very different to using a factory feature.

No offence intended towards duckbar - I have never installed it so have no idea of its functionality.

People prefer to use things with "a name" instead of freeware or "no name", pay good money for it, then complain about limiting functionality and too early end of support

Too lazy?

I suggest you be a little more careful bandying insults around

Asking a question is different from insulting, if you didn't know.
There are people who are too lazy to do something. For example, I'm too lazy to install azslow's control surface plugin.

But they should at least give it a try if a dark theme is so important (maybe they have tried already?). I use many third-party plugins (including free ones) that aren't really "supported" by CW. Some of them don't work perfectly in SONAR, but at least I give them a try.

It's nothing to do with being lazy mate, I simply do not have enough time  - every minute I get to spend in my studio is absolutely precious to me and I have far more pressing matters to deal with than registering/installing/learning features which aren't officially supported by Cakewalk.

Thanks, I probably don't really know the meaning of the English word lazy. I thought it was like "I know I should do it now, but I find it bothersome so I'll do it later..." (which applies to my not installing some useful tools created by other users). But in your case it's clearly busy not lazy. So, sorry if my statement felt insulting to you.
