Good morning everyone, well, it's morning in Europe  and it's a public holiday in the UK

I always open my projects using the Start Screen. When I close a project, intending to open a different one, the only way I can see of getting the SS top open again is via File > Start Screen.

Is there a way to make it appear automatically once a project is closed?

Thanks,

Jonesey

I have setup a Start Screen button in the custom module. It does what you want to do.

That's a good workaround John, but I assume there is no way for Sonar to automatically do this yes?

I suppose Alt + f & t would work as well.

Yep, just tried it, it works.

Hi, and good morning Colin. I have been using Alt+S to open the Start Screen since it came out.
But it would be nice to be able to have it open automatically between projects. Maybe global on / off setting?
All the best.

didn't it do this at the start and then people complained about it so it was changed to the present way? or am i not remembering correctly? maybe i am mistaken, i know studio one's start screen does it the way you want, and that's how i prefer it.

Yeah, it was initially like that, but it was so slow to appear it had all kinds of weird side effects, so they changed it. Then they fixed the speed issue, but never added back an option to have it automatically appear. I think it would be good to have back now the speed issue is fixed.

I'm only wondering..... were you a forum member at that time (under a different username)?

I have been using Alt+S to open the Start Screen since it came out.

In my case it's Alt+Q, just because the screen was called Quick Start when I assigned the keyboard shortcut.
Note that the default command assigned to Alt+S is very useful (when you want to quickly solo the currently selected track(s)).
