Anyone manage to get the Kontrol Rig 3 working with Guitar Rig 5 Pro when Guitar Rig is working as a plugin within Sonar?

It works for me just fine.

So you are saying that you have it working just as if GR was working in stand alone? Sweet!
 
I will check this out. Should I be running the Control Editor or not?
When adding GR onto a track the Kontrol Rig 3 will connect as usual with or without the Control Editor running?
Should I configure Sonar to have the Kontrol Rig 3 midi input selected in preferences?

I do. You may be able to do that in controller editor. I know I've migrated settings, thus have forgotten how it was done originally, so I'll look when I get home and report back.
