Hey folks. Last night I installed the Jamaica update for platinum on windows 7 and have had frequent audio dropout notifications since - even whilst the transport is stopped. It was was also on a project that is exclusively midi data. Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues?

This is the first update I have had any problems with. I have rolled back and all is fine again.

Hard to tell without troubleshooting more, but maybe it's:

Thanks Dok - had a read and found a few other threads as well. There doesnt seem to be too many complaints so It could of course be system based. I would normally jump into the troubleshooting but I am in the midst of a few projects so I might sit this month out and see what happens next month.

If you are using multiple outs from synths you are effected. I know I am. Another thing to do is disable arm monitoring during playback/record.

I suspect Cakewalk will be supplying a regression release soon. If issue persists after that I guess standard troubleshooting procedures can commence.

The standard advice otherwise is to update firmware/drivers of your audio interface. Goto intel driver update website to update chipset drivers, and probably update your motherboard BIOS.

Cheers...

Pretty much on top of he drivers/firmware/bios. I am quitely confident that the next release should address the problem. If not, as you suggest, I shall jump into the black hole of serious troubleshooting then! Thanks a again Dok:)
