When you pres Windows and G you should get the Xbox video recording thing up. It will attach to the program/game your in. And you can record other than games, but i get nothing out of Sonar. It says its nothing to record.
Anyone having any luck with this?

Driver sharing issue maybe?

Guessing this is an issue of ASIO driver exclusivity(?) WDM/WASAPI might work for this.

I had somewhat similar questions regarding screen capture stuff recently but they did not involve XBox or Win10. However maybe some of the advice provided in the thread will point you in the right direction...

First, you need to lie and tell GameDVR that Sonar is a game :-).
Second, if you are using ASIO, it will not record the audio without help. I use Voicemeeter to route the audio in a way that works with the GameDVR. The link Beepster provided has info on setting up Voicemeeter. BTW, when you do get it working, it works quite well!

Let us know how it goes!

What's the lie? Sonar is a game and life is but a dream.

Update. It"works" with WDM audio drivers. But it dont record open plugins. Just plain sonar in 1080! So ill try out the other alternatives!

You should totally look into that Voicemeeter program people talk about in the thread I posted if switching to WDM worked. That supposedly the best solution to the ASIO driver conflict stuff that happens but I have not tried it yet.

I have found a video about creating screen caps with audio software too that may be helpful as well but I have not watched it yet. I'm wrestling with some other silly stuff right now so don't have time but if you don't figure it out I'll check it out and post it/send it to you.

Cheers.

Yeah. I did a funny rendering of EZdrummer. This is just something I did fast and I should make the kick drum fallow completly.
