No it's the same package. I forget the bundle name.

Addit:
There isn't an equivalent retail package. You only get the update once. If you got it with X3 you don't get it again as you've already been given a licence from Cakewalk. Same as Melodyne, you get one licence then if you upgrade to subsequent versions then you don't get additional Melodyne licences. If you were to buy a new full Cakewalk Sonar licence (not upgrade version) you'd get anothe licence.

I don't use XLN drums at all but I did download and install it.

If it's already registered then don't you just access everything through the online installer. Give that a try I think it takes you to the website where can select your packs etc.
Sorry for the constant updating. As I'm typing I'm recalling stuff and having a look on the website, but I'm on an iPad at the moment.

just wondering?
Did CW down grade from XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 Producer to  XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 Solo for Platinum? I know I got AD2 Producer with plat but now the Sweetwater ad says includes AD2 Solo?

That has to be a cut & paste typo from their description of the Pro version. Getting another AD2 Producer was one of the main cost-justifiers for me when deciding on what to spend the Studio One v3 upgrade money I'd been holding on to. Stayed with v2 and switched to SPlat.

P.S.

FWIW, XLN have repackaged their bundles. They now have bundles for 3, 5 and ALL. No Solo bundle anymore. The problem is that the 3 and 5 ADpak bundles have FIXED content; you get the ADpaks, MIDIpaks and kit pieces they feel like giving you. When I compared what I bought (prior to adding the 3 from SPlat) to the new fixed bundles, there was almost NO overlap, meaning I'd still have had to fork out a bunch of cash to get AD2 kitted up the way I wanted. Sucks, IMO.

Are you saying that you can't add more XLN beats? I got what I get and that's all?

Well at least XLN has a 50% off sale now, MAYBE I will get some support soon! lol

Someone from CW is going to have to explain to me why my CW account says I have a AD2 producer license but XLN says I don't.

This thread explains the situation as I understand it - includes feedback from XLN when the "change" became effective. In essence (if I understand this correctly), XLN has changed their product grouping strategy, so that while they will honour the Bundle offered in your SONAR purchase which entitles you to both the AD2 engine and the add-on packs as specified, it doesn't allow you to upgrade with additional add-on packs without first upgrading the AD2 engine to the full package.
When I originally bought Sonar Platinum I picked up AD2 and the add on packs - I already have AD1 from a prior SONAR purchase and won't upgrade any of them because I don't have the need for them. Don't really get a lot of use here.

It's confusing though - and I think XLN's recent product change is at the heart of the issue - many of the posts in the thread I link to are confusing the AD1 cost to upgrade to AD2 (which in my opinion shouldn't even enter into it) - the whole thing seems to be XLN's way of arm-twisting to get people with AD1 to upgrade to AD2. But as far as I understood my purchase of SONAR, the AD2 engine you (and I) bought with SONAR is the full AD2 engine - what differs is the added content, which is (initially) limited to the add-in packs. I do feel however that the "change" originates on the XLN side of the fence and the matter should be taken up with them. They are in essence changing the rules after the majority of SONAR purchasers have already made their picks, etc. (Something that Cakewalk may want to consider is the impact on their product when sweeteners such as AD2 (or Gobbler - which was still being offered as an enticement to previous version(s) when Gobbler itself was defunct to PC users) change their offerings.)
