My guess is these guys are swamped with functionality ... If I were them, I would have theme stuff way down my list of priorities.

I would love to have the original set of layered images myself, but I have know real expectation of them ever being released.

I think Noel implied pretty much that the light wouldn't be soon. Although I would like the icons soon, I think this feature request is far from a priority. But I do think if they have it in mind as they develop the light theme, it would just be some additional steps in data management to provide.

The icons however should take much to provide and surely they have them collated for use already.

I kind of think that something is missing in the conversation here... this is not a dig or anything but there are fast ways to do this stuff :) no offence at all here, just wondering what you guys are talking about? You get the full png files with both TE templates, it all depends on your image software on how far you can use the data...

About changing button colors... if you are trying to use fill and select to change the color there is a faster way.

You want to use "Hue and contrast" for most buttons and if the button or image is grey scale you use the color options. (There are other options as well but this is a good place to start.)
To darken and lighten you want to use brightness feature but when you use the slider on the + lighter side of the scale you need to counter with some contrast or your image will be washed out...
Once you have one button in a group the way you want it, make sure that you write down the RGB,HLS,HUE, contrast and so on... to repeat on all images...  it will go fast then when you plug in the numbers... one other thing... depending on the starting color of the image you are working on the numbers will not be the same each time. like the orange in Tungsten... I turned them all blue in like an hour... I just dragged the slider on the hue to the blue... happened to be 100% full +/right.
But other colors would not be blue at 100% + right.
If you want to get fancy.... we can talk.... ;)

Peace!

So this is what I was working on. I needed the icons separated to do this. The Collapsed modules were a breeze, as the icons are provided separately in Theme editor. Most icon are not. We can get really creative with Theme editor. Completely change the stye beyond re-colouring.

Interesting! It does show how far you can go changing things, but I can imagine it is tedious.

Butterscotch would be better....

Q- How do the yellow screens on the CB Mods affect the CPU & HDD sliders? Seems they'd be virtually invisible, no?

You can edit these to butter scotch using Dave000 approach. I did think of going with a safe white option, but I', designing for me, and I prefer the yellow.

I found the performance meter issues when I was already into the the design. I decided to stick with it and wait for them to fix the issue.

I'm really like the way the buttons rolled over. There were a few hurdles to keep these consistent, such as the customs menu sharing the meneu and adding the font internally

You could add a border-like outline or a contrasting BG just behind the sliders to make them more visible incase they dont.

It's hard to say why some things arent changeable with TE. I found over 450 items including the Performance sliders with Duckbar, so nothing is realy "hard coded", they just have to include them.

Problem is I can't test that. I don't have more than 4 cores to test the other veiws. I could add it to the 4 core option, as white bars like the memery and hard drive meters.

I guess I could get supplied some screen prints o see from those than have 8, 16 and 32 cores.

I realise that they are not actually hardcoded, but at our end they currently are.
