I know many of you do not have it- this is a joy of being early adopter- not everybody knows what I am talking about- if you do, please, help me figure this out.

There is stuff that sounds like we already had it but then I am not sure. Sonar X3 installer came in 3 parts so it is hard to tell what was in what part. New Sonar has individual elements that can be installed on demand, but I dont know if I already have it or not. It looks familiar, but I am not sure- can you tell if it is new or updated or old? Thank you.

"The Classic Creative Suite is made up of powerful and easy to use Cakewalk effects including Multivoice Chorus/Flanger, Classic Phaser, Tempo Delay, Compressor/Gate, Para-Q, HF Exciter, Alias Factor, and Modfilter. *Requires SONAR"

"Channel Tools, LP-64 Multiband, and LP-64 EQ are all included in this download. *Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum"

"The full Nomad Factory Blue Tubes bundle includes 6 EQs, 6 dynamic plugins, 6 effects, and 1 reverb giving you all the necessary tools to enhance your projects with that vintage tone and color. *Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum

The Boutique Suite contains SONAR's most advanced collection of plugins including TH2 Producer, Breverb SONAR, Bifilter2, VX-64 Vocal Strip and PX-64 Percussion Strip *Requires SONAR Platinum

A collection of FX Chain presets authored by Craig Anderton. *Requires SONAR and all included plugins.

XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 Producer Includes Addictive Drums 2 engine.  The perfect way to get into AD2 and 3 ADpaks.
I already have AD2 installed, do I need to change serial number to get my extra packs?

Why is there no instructions from Cakewalk and we have to figure everything out on our own?

I was coming from X1 Production Suite, X2 Producer and X3 Producer, prior to installing Sonar Platinum. All I had to install was Sonar Platinum (just the core program) and Anderton's FX Chains. The rest you would already have if you are coming from X3 Producer. So if you already have all the stuff from X3? When you click on Sonar Platinum and it opens its contents. Just click on 'Sonar Platinum' and select "Install." Then select Anderton's FX Chains and select "Install," once more. Bam! Good to go!

The "Install All" option, will re-install everything that you may already have? ie. The Classic Creative Suite, Channel Tools, LP-64 Multiband, and LP-64 EQ, The full Nomad Factory Blue Tubes bundle, The Boutique Suite, etc.

If you have Addictive Drums 2 already? No need to run the install on the AD Producer Bundle. Just register the serial number in your account at XLN, then it will let you select your products (3 kits, 3 midi packs and 3 kit pieces.) Once that's done, all that is left to do is run the XLN licensing centre to download and install the new kits and pieces. The midi packs don't need to be downloaded, as they just unlock in AD2 and are ready to use!

Thank you for clear reply. I am wondering why some features say, "Required Sonar" and others say, *Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum". I am wondering if there was some updated elements. This is why I was not sure. Why would they say *Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum" on some if it did not change- they should of say, "Required Sonar". Comments? Thank you.

I think that means that they are only available to use in the Professional or Platinum versions of Sonar?

If you want the offline help, also choose the "Help & Tutorials" option in the CC.

I made a list of all the new stuff with links to the promo vids as well as the Cake descriptions and my own descriptions. This is however old now and there is a lot more information on each item but I'm not going to spend all day updating it. Still that is almost ALL the new stuff and it tells you which version everything comes with.

Beepster, looks like tremendous work on your part, thank you. I don't need to know what new stuff I have (lol). I do not know about half of hidden functions of it, so I would not know difference. I just need to know if I need to install anything else other than New Sonar itself. Some features listed in my initial post say, " *Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum". This makes me think that I need to install it because it is new.

Are you saying that "requires Professional or Platinum" is in the description of the feature or in the documentation?

In either of those instances, it means that the feature is only included in the Professional or Platinum versions and is not a part of the purchase price of the less complete versions.

If you are saying this is some type of error message from the program, I do not know, but I would expect it means the same thing.

Alartabartfast, are you reading the thread from last post to first? It explains it in the first post. The descriptions that listed in first post come from installation in Control Center. When you click on something you considering to install, it has description. Some of them (see first post) say, "Requires Sonar". Some say, "*Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum". Royal Yaksman (see few posts up) said- all we need to install is New Sonar program only. I am wondering if he may be incorrect because then why would it say, "*Requires SONAR Professional or Platinum" on installation option? To me- it means- it is exclusive to Sonar Pro or Platinum, which means- we should install it.
