Full list of all new features w. videos/descriptions of each in one post.
Edit: scook helpfully scrounged up the documentation for the new features found here...
Sooper dooper Edit: Seriously guys... check out the documentation link and navigate around a bit. LOTS of answers to be found here. Cheers.

======================================================================
I spent the morning checking out the new features and figured I might as well make a list of everything so I can reference it all easily and share it with you guys. The info is kind of scattered and interspersed with old features so this should make it easier to check out the new stuff.
I basically just copied all the new features from the Versions comparison list (which can be found here
https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Versions), typed up version codes for the version(s) each feature is included with (A for Artist, Pr for Professional and Pl for Platinum) beside the feature name and then copied the info from inside the tooltips that pop up when hovering over each new feature (which you would not see on the versions page if you have script blockers or just didn't hover over the entries).
After that I went to the Features page (which can be found here
https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Features) and scoured it for all the new vids showing each feature (only a few did not have vids). I also typed up my own description and impressions of each feature which you can safely ignore if you want because I'm a dumbass. ;-)
So each entry shows...
Main Heading the Feature(s) Appear(s) Under:
Feature Name (Version(s) it comes with) - "The description from the Versions chart's tooltips"

Beepster Notes: My insipid ramblings about the feature based on the vids.

Tools & Editing:
Vocal Sync (Pl) - "VocalSync tightens vocals by aligning one part to another - ideal for doubled vocals, background vocals, and matching dialogue to picture"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao-wFsWI7qEBeepster Notes: Looks very useful. It's a Region FX that allows you to apply Vocal Sync to a track then choose another from a list of all your other tracks. You then sync the Vocal Sync track region to the track you chose from the list. It is a variable knob so you can match it to whatever degree sounds good with full being a perfect match. It says it works best for vocals but I would like to try it on doubled guitar tracks... especially leads.
Pattern Tool (A/Pr/Pl) - "Innovative MIDI editing tool lets you select and 'paint' midi loops and patterns across the piano roll view and track view"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfl_NfGMoS0Beepster Notes: Allows you to swipe across an area of a MIDI clip to copy that area to the tool. Then you can "roll" the Pattern Tool over another area in the Clips Pane and it will "paint" the copied area (and only the copied area) over that section. If you drag it for longer than the copied selection it will start repeating the pattern. You can also select MIDI loops from the Browser with the Pattern Tool and automatically start painting the select loop into your project wherever you want. Very cool.
Also in the same video, and this is not in the Versions list, are new PRV/MIDI clip enhancements. You can make the notes MUCH larger vertically in the PRV than we could before (much easier to see), there is a new MIDI clip hotspot that allows you to time stretch MIDI clips (so instead of slip editing/cropping the whole clip shrinks/expands proportional on the timeline... very cool) and they added some new controller features that you'll just have to watch the vid to see.
FX Racks (A/Pr/Pl) - "The new Stacked FX view displays as many inserted plug-ins as your monitor resolution can handle."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnjrEXVifboBeepster Notes: They redesigned the FX Bin module. Kind of hard to explain so you'll have to watch the vid. This is the same vid that shows the new Sends module.
Expandable Sends (A/Pr/Pl) - "View multiple sends simultaneously--see every aspect of a complex mix's signal path"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnjrEXVifboBeepster Notes: This is the same vid as the FX Racks vid. Again hard to explain so watch the vid.
Control Bar Enhancements (A/Pr/Pl) - "Whether for compact laptop screens or multiple monitors, customize the Control Bar modules for one-click access to your favorite tools"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIJRiJN42rEBeepster Notes: They've done almost exactly some of the stuff I had envisioned for the Control Bar and had posted about a couple times. The Modules are all collapseable, you can change how big they are (small or large), they added left/right scrolling (Woo Hoo!) and some other common sense stuff. There are also two new modules. One is the Mix Recall module which is covered in the Mix Recall vid. The other is the Custom module which is a module with a bunch of user customizeable buttons. You can program each button to perform common menu commands and other useful stuff. Looks very cool. I'm diggin' pretty much everything about the enhanced Control Bar. Nice one, Bakers.
Mix Recall (A/Pr/Pl) - "Never second-guess yourself on a mix again: Mix Recall lets you save and switch to various mix scenes for easy, one-click comparisons."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWsDmTnNw28Beepster Notes: This alone looks worth the price of admission to me. It is very simple. You have a module in the Control Bar where you create an initial snapshot of your current mix. You can keep working and return to that snapshot by selecting it from a dropdown. You can create more snapshots of your mix as you work by pressing a second button in the module. All the snapshots go into the module's dropdown menu and you just select them to load that mix version. Awesome. Edit: I just found out that we will be able to export ALL of the MixRecall snapshots in one export. So if you have three different mixes saved in MixRecall you can choose to export all three with one action and have all three versions waiting for you after it's done. Even AWESOMER!
Audiosnap (Pr/Pl) - "New detection algorithms re-launch AudioSnap into a next-generation timing and tempo toolkit."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PJ1nC_oR0ABeepster Notes: I'm a little disappointed by this one because I was hoping for a complete overhaul of Audiosnap to make it more user friendly. It looks like pretty much the same as it always has except with a facelift and a few improvements (which should make it a LITTLE more user friendly). I guess the real improvement is the Auto Detect algorithms. Based on the video it does look to be a lot more accurate (the markers land EXACTLY on the trasients, not all slightly off like they had a tendency of doing). It also looks a lot less glitchy and shaky which was my major problem with AS. Hard to make any real judgement on it all without trying it though so I'm hoping there will be lots of user reviews on the forum. If it is solid without all the constant wrestling with it I've experienced in the past I'll be happy.
Instruments:
Addictive Drums (Pr 1 ADpaks, Pl 3 ADpaks) - "SONAR Professional and Platinum include the full version of Addictive Drums 2 (not a 'lite' version)"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnzJaqtLARIBeepster Notes: Not much to say. The vid just shows AD2 which looks even nicer than the version I got with X3 (before XLN released AD2). Looks like they've added some extra features over the original AD. If you get Sonar Professional you get 1 free ADpak. If you get Platinum you get 3 free ADpaks.
Anderton Chains/FX:
Beepster Notes: I haven't found any vids showing these. Maybe Craig will post some and I'll add them to this list. I'm curious to see what these are all about.
Quick FX (A/Pr/Pl) - "Single-control, macro-based FX chains make adding effects quick and easy--dial up the sound you want in seconds"
FX Chains (A/Pr/Pl) - "New FX chain processors include fuzz, vibrato, rotating speaker, percussion humanizer, tape echo, graphic EQ, and seven more"
CA Amps (A/Pr/Pl) - "16 amp sims (four each for clean, rock/blues, high gain, and bass) go beyond imitating physical amps to creating idealized, next-generation virtual amps"
ProChannel:
REmatrix Solo (Pr/Pl) - "This remarkable ProChannel module is a single-layer version of Overloud's' REmatrix multi-layer convolution reverb-load an impulse response from Overloud's vast collection of Hall, Room, Special, Plate, and Early Reflection files, or import your own"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOGmVzOgVRs#t=65Beepster Notes: A cool looking convolution reverb Prochannel Module from Overloud. So now you'd have two Overloud PC reverbs (Breverb and REmatrix). Looks simple to use, lots of presets from Overloud, you can use your own IRs, Wet/Dry and A/B controls. Not sure if this is only for use in Prochannel or if there is VST version like with Breverb. Also don't know if it is locked to Sonar but here is a quote from the vid - "Use it as a mastering reverb in different applications". He doesn't elaborate and due to the context he may have been using "applications" in the sense of a task within Sonar but whatever. Still cool even if it is only for the Prochannel.
Skylight Interface:
Obviously not new and the vid doesn't show anything new aside from the Control Bar but thought I would toss this last vid in for those who wanted to see how it all looks. Not too much different than X3.

Hope that's helpful. I'll update this if I find any more relevant info. If you find an error/bad link let me know. If you find more vids for NEW features it would be awesome if you link them.
Cheers.
