Hello Forum

I have problem with Cakewalk TTS-1. I am using Cakewalk Sonar 8.3 Producer Edition. I have a midi track that I want to use TTS-1 to alter the audio output. I have changed several options like vibrato, reverb, debth, etc for a particular track. When ever I push the space button to audition the changes the effects changes that I made go back to zero. I even tried saving the changes as a preset but the output changes still go back to zero and have little to no effect on the audio output. Scott, who is the author of the Sonar Power books suggested try going into Options > Project Options > MIDI Out. Then remove the checkmark next to Zero Controllers When Play Stops. I tried that and the problem virbrato is saved but other options like bass and treble go back to zero.

How can I save the output changes so that they alter the audio output and are saved? See image below:

I used to get around this with MIDI commands. Any parameter can be assigned to a MIDI CC. Right-click on a knob or button to assign a CC to that control. Then you need only drop a single MIDI event into the top of the Event View to set that parameter and it'll save with your MIDI track.

This workaround is only practical if you're altering a few parameters, though. It would be a lot of bother for a fully built-from-scratch patch. But for just tone and envelope controls or turning chorus or reverb on, it's quick and easy.
