Well now I think I know what you went through...read this thread. I'm not saying it's the same problem, but it sure seems suspiciously similar.

Thanks for attempting to help me.

I did a complete reinstall of Windows 10 today, I formatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10 completely NEW and started from scratch.

What I installed was only my plugins which are line 6 Pod Farm and TH3 Overloud and Overloud's Mark Bass Studio II. And that's pretty much all I have installed.

Hopefully I wont have any problems, but this PC is setup to RECORD MUSIC only as of now, NOTHING ELSE. So we shall see how this works out.

I followed your advice and disabled the WIFI "I don't use it anyway along with the BLUE TOOTH which I don't use anyway also".

Honestly If this setup crashes and doesn't work, then I have no idea what to do. The thing about it is, my songs require using TH3 Overloud's  Guitar & Mark Studio II Bass plugins along with XLN's AD2 Drums. Why? Because that's all I've got and I feel at this point if they don't work then they were flawed to begin with. I mean I purchased them in good faith that they would work.

Either way, I'll reply in a month or so and let you and others know if all is well where crashes go. I am not installing ANYTHING else, it's just WINDOWS 10 and the software I described above in this message.

And I get the Windows update stuff reactivating things. I'm not a novice on the PC, I realize all that stuff.

Hopefully this will work for me, we shall see. Thank you for taking the time to comment and try and help. I can only hope that I don't have anymore crashes, it is really irritating and stressful to start recording one song and all go well and then try and record another and have things crash and then the crashes become more and more and more.

Thanks again for your advice and information trying to help!

It's been a while since I've had to think about my build, but the one thing I did years back which fixed most of my issues was install a USB 2.0 card. My gear runs from that, not the MB. And I know I'm not the only one here that's done that. The other major hiccup for me was graphic cards. Nividia to be precise. Ditched it, and apart from issues with win 10 and some of their updates and lack of thought/care for audio users, I've had no more problems. In the even earlier days, no less that 3 usb audio interfaces caused me no end of grief. With my latest build, win 10 and focusrite, I've never stopped working. I hope you can sort it. Your frustration is making me frustrated lol!!   cheers..Dave.

But I think that could be the problem. A new install of Windows puts all this stuff in there that you don't want. At least go into Device Manager and disable everything you don't need, then check that Windows hasn't put the USB ports into power-saving mode.

Thanks Anderton, I think I got the problem fixed. At least for today and as of now.

The re-install was a good idea for me. It made it simple to keep an eye on what was installed and may or may not have been causing problems, for me, that is and my PC and setup.

THANK YOU! I noticed a lot making it simple on a new reinstall. And you are 1000% absolutely right on the drivers in the background causing issues! Or that is "Showing back up on updates and Windows changing everything where your settings go".

I disabled the blue tooth crap which I don't use, but noticed it was setup to run in autorun viewing it from my licensed RevoUninstaller software so I disabled it that way. I disabled all audio devices that were not Toneport KB37 which is what I use.

I've tried recording today with my standard template that I made several tracks and had no problem at all "SO FAR".
I believe it's all working as it should now.  I backed everything up to an Image backup, so I have a restart point if I need to roll things back.

So far so good! :-)

Although I do have a question, I have these two drivers listed in Device Manager called "High Definition Audio Controller", I can disable them and my Tone port kb37 works fine, do you or anybody know if they are needed to be enabled or are they something tied to the built in realtek sound card? I know you probably can't say without seeing the PC in person, but the fact that I can disable them and my KB37 still works makes me wonder if it's needed or not?

Thanks for you information and help!

I disable ALL other audio devices other than my interface. I never have audio issues as a result. Some systems seem OK with using on board audio in tandem with an interface, but my experience has been the opposite.
