Hi,
Battery grid is not very suitable, no !
Can you in the Piano Roll view, for exemple view all the notes on the keyboard and/or to edit each key to better locate at drum editing.
Then, to hide some notes to PRV always improve workflow.
Thanks
Mark

The PRV note pane can be modified to show text instead of the keyboard. This is done by right-clicking the keyboard and selecting an option from the Note Names dialog. It is possible to create custom entries for the Note Names dialog. This is done by adding the appropriate data to the master.ins file. Here is a post discussing how http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2927516. The note pane displays a fixed number of notes though. To display a custom note binding only, consider using a Drum Map instead. It is the displayed in the Drum Pane above the Note Pane in the PRV.

Hi Scook,
I found this entry, but it is not easy to do and I want to keep the keyboard and not a list. And if you apply a hotfix or if you reinstalled Sonar you lose all changes that put you years to integrate . And if you save the file master.ins impossible to import it.

I don't have issues with master.ins but it won't meet both requirements of renaming the keys AND only displaying the named keys. This why a drum map may be the better solution.

may be but is the display of the drum map is not very convenient. These stains that appear are not very readable. It was enough just put the solid square instead of a weird triangle. This is why I prefer to work with PRV.
if what I ask is not possible, it does not matter, but it should improve workflow.

If you prefer to see note duration in the Drum Pane instead of note icons select "Show Durations in Drum Grid" from the PRV Notes menu

What you are asking is not possible at the moment in the note pane. The note pane will display either the full keyboard or a selection from the note names dialog with spaces where names are not provided. Additions to the note names dialog may be made to the master.ins with a text editor. The only other solution at the moment is a Drum map. It will display only the names in the map and placeholders for notes without a mapping. There may come a day when the note pane can be directly edited but I am not going to wait for it.
