Is anyone even using it?  ... Last posts were from a couple of weeks ago

no one even answered the questions.

It is up to the questioner to mark their question answered. Many of the questions have replies. Of course, you could try answering a few yourself.

Haven't been there in a while. To be honest I totally forgot about it. I'm used to coming here to participate and don't think about going somewhere else. So even if it's a good format, it's probably going to get less input, at least from me.

While we're at it. Collecting data from users was a big debate a while back. But they eventually put it in with the option to turn it off if you were concerned. Then I recently saw a post from Anderton that said it only collected very basic info and really didn't help all that much.

Geez, if you're going to collect data to try to make the app better, please collect something useful!!

I understand the data is pretty basic but I do not recall Craig's assessment, would you have a link to that post?

I see. The part you quoted comes from http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3539705
While it does confirm the basic nature of the data collected, Craig did not write it

I was pretty sure he has never posted a negative assessment of the analytics data. Thanks for the reference. Sorry to derail the Bakery thread.

Visiting the bakery I got the impression that seems to be a place thought
as a more  technical and reticant -question -answer based place compared to
this forum and community. No fun means also not that much emotions wanted
I guess.
Understand it  more dedicated to the technical speech and software developers .

That is why they all mark posts by moderators as answers when such are no where near an actual solution.

By they you must be the questioners. AFAIK, the questioners are the only ones (other than Cakewalk employees) that can mark questions as answered. It does appear that some questioners may have marked an arbitrary reply as an answer not much different than on this forum.

so users are expected to answer? so there's no difference (in that sense) than this forum? boo!

Why would Cakewalk create and publish a point system if there was an expectation their employees would be answering the questions?

Every time I've opened it I see basic questions that are normally posted here and Steve, you seem to be all by your self answering them. Very few posts answered by other forum members. And all the posts seem to be very short and to the point.

I've used the MS community forum a few times, I rarely get real answers, just links to the knowledge base which are always not even close.   I asked a question once and a MS person asked for more details even though there were none to give, I had explained my issue very clearly,  my screen would go blank after 1 minute , all power settings were set to Never. I got my answer from a computer  forum ( NCIX) it was a screen saver setting I missed, easy, so I returned and posted I had solved my issue. The MS person ( machine?) posted again asking for more detail,  I said I had solve the issue and told them what it was. I keep getting E mails asking me to return and answer. Stupid forum.
