Here's my goal: I have a number of tracks that were played without a metronome/click.  I know how to use tap-tempo and "fit to improvisation" to create a tempo map.  No problem there.  It fluctuates as expected.  But THEN I'd like to be able to make the tempo track solid (a single BPM for the whole song) and have the audio shrink and stretch to follow it.  I am wanting to use these tracks to develop backing tracks to a show that will follow a tempo map.  Its the last step that has stymied me.  I am using X3.

THANKS!

The thread Beepster referenced was a slightly different situation. In your case you just need to enable Audiosnap 'Clip Follows Project' in Autostretch mode, and then delete all the tempo changes.
