Im attempting to refine my setup and would like to go down the road of routing my Elektron analog devices via usb and overbridge to free up some mixer inputs and take advantage of processing individual outputs.
The problem is i cant get OB to work in Sonar! Now im a little bit of a tecnodunce so its undoubtably me - os OB even supported in Sonar?!! I can get the plugins to come up however there is no audio coming through despite tge fact the level meter displays that a signal is present. Anyone else using this kind of setup? Or have any ideas? Im trying to avoid buying Ableton which is apparently a solution.
Thanks :)

you will probably have better luck asking on the Elektron web site forum as this is something that doesn't really come up that often here. but I did confirm a user having success/using overbridge in Sonar x2:

this also might help (some settings):

Wow - I just looked at the Elektronauts site - Overbridge is a brilliant way to add external hardware.

A couple things:
In the OB Control Panel (in the Channel Config window) disable all Ins and Outs for your device. Hit Apply.  Reenable the desired Ins and Outs.  Hit Apply.

Sound will not come out of the device until the plugin is inserted in a Sonar sequence.

So I can get sound out of both my A4 and RYTM but sync is slightly off.  It's off just enough to be not really useful and it's driving me nuts.

I believe there are some people who have gotten it to work by other threads I've read on the Elektronauts site, but you're right, it seems like Ableton is the primary DAW for Overbridge.  I did download a trial version of Cubase and it works great.

The link chuckebaby posted is actually mine and I also posted it here as well:

I've submitted a ticket to Sonar support but all I've gotten in the past three weeks is a link to the online help.
I do have a ticket open with Elektron and they see the same issue as I.

You didn't specify Sonar/OS versions or anything so you might get different results than I.

One other thing, Elektron support did say there will be a new version of OB coming out "soon" which should help with Win10.1 support.  And OB really is just one release from beta.

After 20+ years I'm probably going to finally break up with Sonar and go the Cubase route.

Anyways, you should at least be able to get audio from the devices.  If you have the sync issue too, you could always use OB to store your patches in your Sonar sequence (a wonderful thing!) and just use good ole MIDI for sync.

Yes!!!! I built a brand new pc with the latest OS and everything specifically to integrate my Analog Four and Analog RYTM at this level.  It is really cool unfortunately it might not be 100% compatible with Sonar.
