Nothing says cordial and well-meaning like "fix the damn thing." Why, I wouldn't be surprised if they've put everything else on hold and called an emergency meeting already. </snark>

You filed a formal Problem Report on this, right? The Bakers don't use the forum to track issues; the s/n ratio is too low. You need to use the Problem Reporter:

@conar - having used it live flawlessly several times (x1) i can say it is reliable overall with glitches every now and again -no worse than hitting a wrong key on a piano - once you get config settings right and always run at 24/48 and make sure your synths are balanced for cpu load. test your performances for 20 hours or so beforehand and make adjustments as necessary.  its not PERFECT though.

Well what can I say I was in a piss poor mood that day. And NO I can't be arsed sending in bug reports! You guys know the issues and if you don't your testing unit needs a good kik up the backside.
I have been LOYAL to cake for 15 years!!!! so the snide remarks don't bother me one bit I'm not leaving I'M STAYING TO SEE HOW THIS ONE PLAYS OUT! X2 a X2a X2a Pray pray pray.

To be a bit more serious when you can see the potential thats there and how under developed X1 and X2 have been in favour of GBs of samples and unwanted PLUGS it really bums me out.

I'm to mentally challenged to learn another daw like I know cake PLZ PLZ PLZ just get the midi/softsyn latency compensation issue fixed and I'll STFU for another few yuears like I normally do.

OK the a deep breath... Relax and read this the thread:

    http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2729217

In it Noel Borthwick claims there will be a fix on the way, might not fix your problems however they do know something is wrong.

It's hell when threads get buried around here, makes it difficult for any one to keep up with the latest.

    > And NO I can't be arsed sending in bug report

Don't worry all bugs are resolved by technical process called psychic telekinesis or gamble that somebody else does it. One logged issue is all it takes before Cake hit the priority major button over all the other issues ;).
