M-Audio Keystation

Hi all
I recently bought a M-Audio KeyStation49 MkII. I have it set up to use Mackie Control as a controller surface and it works fine. This MkII also contains controls which enable me to Start, Stop and Record, allowing me to control these commands from the keyboard and not touch the mouse. I am at a complete loss on how to configure this in Sonar. Any information in the online manual of Sonar Platinum, talks about Sonar controlling other devices such as tapedecks, ADATS etc. But what I need is the ability to control the above commands from the keystation. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers from OZ

    Alternative: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Mackie-Control-support-improvements-m3311275.aspx
You will need to disable handshake in its options.

But simpler, use original "Generic Control Surface" from CakeWalk, explained in the chapter 40 of Sonar Reference Guide.

M-Audio implement "Mackie Protocol" in terms they use "Notes 93 to 99" for these buttons... English, German and Russian alphabets are equivalent, since they start for "A" ;)

Azslow has you covered. Here is an older X1 ACT video that explains ACT pretty well.

    Hi all
    I recently bought a M-Audio KeyStation49 MkII.

Does this M-Audio KeyStation49 MkII support Windows 10 with it's anniversary update?

    Peace,

I have used an old M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 for years and am currently on the Anniversary Edition of Windows 10 with no problems other than I don't use the USB output on the keyboard. I use the old school midi cables to the interfaces. No problems at all!
