Hi, Dena,

Oh, yeah, that's the ticket, punchy dance rock with great vocals and guitar over a driving backbeat!

Really well written and performed, and a clean, radio-ready mix to boot.  It reminds me of some of the stuff the house DJs played in the after hours clubs after my metal cover band finished for the night.  We'd quit at 2 or 3 in the morning and then they would lock the doors and the places would stay open to party until 5 or 6 am.  Good times!!!

You and Will did a killer job on this!
Bob

Sometimes I miss playing those late night gigs...but then I think of all the DRAMA! Maybe because we were a 3 girl and 3 guy band. The BOYS always seemed to be the ones involved in some type of soap opera! It was hilarious! Good times!

Hi Venus,

Great song, great hook, loved the arrangment, the mix...everything! The only thing that I would have tried in this (subjective of course) would have been to layer more of a high gain electric guitar in the background to give things a little more kick in the chorus sections. It's amazing how much more impact that can give you. Not to the point to where it sounds like a metal tune, but for the sonic push those types of guitar tones can add in a tune like this. I'm not at my studio at the moment...but I  produced a dance song for a client where we added what I'm talking about to the chorus section....and wow, it just made such a difference. It's one of those things where you can't hear it dominate the mix, but without it, you know something is missing. I'll post a little clip of it later on so you can hear what I mean. Remember that C & C Music song....you know..."Everybody dance now".....our song is along the lines of that. Rap verses, catchy dance chorus. But those nasty guitars really brought it over the top. I'd love to hear something like that in your tune.

Of course, totally subjective....but what you have here is awesome. You and your partner did a fabulous job! That hook speaks for itself no matter what instruments you have going on there...and to me, that's what matters most. Your voice sounds awesome on this tune...well done!

-Danny
