...I hate to state the obvious pal...but just take a ook at the length of your answer.....!!!! Can't you see wot the issue is here....it's staring you right in the face...everyone appreciates input but you see our whole point is the app shouldn't take 8 years to master.......we don't want to have to spend 100'rs learning to how to use it...........we did that learning to play our instruments...well we did .......

....I'm not sop sure half the folk using Cakewalk could play a penny whistle  !!  Thankfully we can always just plug in a mic.......an record ...they can't screw that up......one of the many benefits of being able to read write and play music..........Happy Days :)

I don't understand where the whole disconnect is here (and poor attitude). Bouncing MIDI to Audio is easy as cake (har har).

Select your MIDI SOURCE track and your SYNTH Track. Go to Tracks > Bounce to Track > (choose any options) Click OK

You just need to wait for the audio to be processed down.

Lorney tried to be helpful and type out a comprehensive set of instructions that covered all bases. That go far beyond just 'bouncing MIDI to Audio' he gave you a solid foundation on what is actually going on behind the scenes. You obviously care nothing about understanding the inner workings of digital audio.

If you think this is too difficult you should probably just pick up a hard disk recorder like an HD24. DAW's, especially SONAR with thousands of commands, are not simple click and go tools.

If you pick up a book on audio production you'd probably understand the tool a lot more. There's a reason it's called 'Audio Engineering".

Your better off going to a recording studio with audio engineers. Then you can just play your instruments. Sonar is a recording and mixing program and if you dont know anything about audio engineering and is unwilling to put some time and effort into it, I would uninstall sonar and just go to your local studio.

And now your critiquing the people who are trying patiently to help you. WTF is that about??

To bounce a synth. Its 3 easy steps that where explained many times.

You're Welcome

(I spent about an hour, off and on, putting that info together for you in the hopes that it might help solve your problem and hoping you would take the  5 minutes it would take do the test.  Once you had completed that aspect any further advise and assistance could all have been very easily related to this setup and further problem solving could have been accomplished using this as the starting point.  Have fun on your own, I'm done)

I appreciated it.

It takes far longer to read it than to actually implement it as well.

My very first impression from the very first post was that this guy (these guys) is a bad joke. I was right.

That much noise and not once did he/they answer properly to the questions they were asked.
I can't wonder enough how patiently and elaborately some of you forum members tried to help him/them.

Yeah, if someone's starting position is "I don't want to have to learn anything", then I guess you can't help them. Oh well.

It is true: I cannot play a penny whistle.

I do, however, play several other instruments.

I will close this gap today by joining the penny whistle forum.

If you had taken the time to read the eralier posts you will have noticed we said that we had no option to select 'bounce 2 tracks' but he ..why bother reading any thing when you can just ra-ta-tat' on keys all day ...!!! twat

I bow to all of your amazing level of patience.  I've had the odd question here answered nicely, answered a couple myself.  I Came late to this thread, but i would have bowed out long ago.   Incidentally, I do know how to bounce Midi to audio ( I usually freeze but beside the point), and must say that the various given have been clear, concise and - most important - correct.

I have one of two conclusions - the OP is trolling, or I just once again lament that stupidity is neither illegal, nor terminal.  <Sarcasm> I have always found that insulting those who help me is a guarantee of more help </Sarcasm>

Cheers..Grif

CJay - It doesn't work for me either. I see how simple it is. You're clear about that. But the "Bounce to tracks" option never shows up. I've been through my entire menu and cannot find it. I've done this before, but then had some latency problems so I added RAM and reformatted/reinstalled my program so it's working again. But I cannot find "bounce to tracks" now. I select my midi tracks, my SI Drum tracks and right click on the top of the track and it's not there. Maybe I'll go look somewhere else for a solution. Criminee, I'm just trying to bounce a freaking midi drum track to audio, for goodness sake. Shouldn't be difficult. I'm using Platinum as well.

Well, crap. NOW I see the post where FrazzelDazzel says "Go to Tracks..." Now I see it. The guys before him said "Select your midi tracks, all of them. Click on the track..." Yeah, nothing there. I'm good now. Thanks to FrazzelDazzel for pointing out the all important "Tracks" dropdown that isn't part of the midi tracks. Man, that's a good 2 hours I'll never get back.

Old Thread alert!
CJ now lives in a Care Home where he spends his time hitting Sound Blaster  with a hammer with a big smile on his face.

If you have a issue- please start a new thread and state your issue. Huge waste of peoples time reading old threads if they don't catch that fact.
And bounce or freezing a midi track is pretty darn obvious, I just looked again and it's not even something I ever learned from the manual. it's just plain obvious if you've ever used any of Sonars menus.
