LOL OMG I just re-opened the project just now. It seems I had the magnetic strength set to low, I am 100% sure I had it set to off in my other projects So I just loaded up another project and the setting were set to off, I guess its project specific .. I should drink more often .Thank GOD for the Jameson.. Thank YOU all Seriously Thanks..
That's good that it's working. I know I've done similar things thinking they should work but I had a setting wrong. Easy to do.

I think mine is set to "high" but now that it's hidden deep in the P for preferences area it's going to be a pain to see if it's changing states.

I feel for you and the frustration.

Hang in there.

best,
mike

I just set the strength to 'off' saved it in my 'Normal Template' reopened and it reverted back to med.

Opened a project (it was set to low which I would never do) set it to off. Closed the project, reopened, still set to off.

So I guess it's per project?

But won't save in a template? hmmm

It was always global and it was always right there in your easy to find snap to settings.

One would see and be reminded of it every time they made a change to their snap resolution.

Now its hidden?.. and changing automatically when you are not aware?

Nothing else to say....

I always drink heavily when installing any software. Keeps me calm and prevents me from throwing it out the window when it doesn't work properly.

for crying out loud, going from "low" to "off" makes this much diff? *sigh* going to have to read up on mag strength even though I thought I knew what it was
