STEVE i HAVE THE FINGERBONE RHYTHM GUITAR PART FOR YOU. Play around with drums, bass and solos, then we can start putting Bill in where he wants and piece the song together. I have the lyrics now too. I want space for a 3 part harmony chorus atn the end but first things first. We can break up the rhythm part as needed.

Gee - it'd be nice to hear this song!!!!!!??????

Feeling left out Pete? Wanna contribute? Go on - I dare ya!

I'm content just watching this one. If Scrumpy is involved, the results could be hilarious.

Allen, I want to re-do everything I did past your solo, if you don't mind. I just want to extend my ride cuz the way I played that section didn't properly develop the outro.

I need the tempo you used so I can insert the revised section.
thanks again!

Bill(Fingerbone), Bill(Stratman)

Just to be clear, I understood this was a blues collab between the two of you.

If I remember correctly, I simply offered to do the drums as a result of a bit of banter about using MIDI in a blues song. Now there's talk of bass and lead and guitar etc from all over the place.

Personally speaking, and as I said before (I think I even suggested it?) - a blues based collab between you two would be awsome; I think that's maybe how you'd both like it to stay.

It's obviously up to you two if you want others contributing, but why don't we also resurrect the idea of a GT Forum collab on which we can all join in? I think with the talent we've got in here, a blues tune of some sort (but not jumping on Bill & Bills project) would be ideal for such a venture, but that's just my opinion.

If anyone's interested, we can start thinking about what we should do, and take it from there.

Steve

That's the way I see it Steve - us 2 Bills will see what we can do together (and maybe sub contract out parts where we need to - and I've got a sneaky feeling that the drums are going to fall into that category ). The old sayings "A camel is a horse designed by a committee" and "too many cooks.... etc.

That said, what is stopping anyone else starting their own collaborations? I think they're fun, it's good to bounce ideas off fellow musicians. There should be more of it here - such as Bill's recent collab with Allan. But if you keep it tight it's easier to manage. Organising musicians is a lot like hearding cats!
