LpMike75 I take that room any day. And my computer was at my feet to the right about a foot and about 8 inches up off of the floor when I was trying to sing that song. (I was standing up, so about 5-1/2 feet up (mic height) or about 6 feet I am tall.

I bookmarked the reflection filter, guess I never seen that before, so I will look at it later.
I know there was something similiar to that at a GC store but it was not metal but a dampener kind of hard foam thingy.

Posted it wrongly in the thread showing your room - duh!
Oh, well, back to waking up, I guess.

Oh, I will say that the TC Helicon Voiceworks, has a Gate in it, which was set at 70dB  I think the lowest it can go, so perhaps that is also why there is no noise in the singing on my link, because it cuts out all noise lower than that.

I forgot about that, so I guess it works, and I have not tried the mic just straight without adding the reverb and such that the TC Helicon Voiceworks gives although there are newer models out now. (and the Presonnus Studio Channels help on anything even my synth ).

Sorry about that, I just forgot to mention that thinking about the pop filter and how far away I was from the mic and not really knowing and probably ramblin' on too much anyway.

You will find that the SM58 and KSM44 are worlds apart.

One thing I've found with the KSM44 is that it can actually be beneficial to sing with it about a foot away from the vocalist.  This reduces the dynamics in the recording a lot and makes it easier to mix.  I used to sing right on top of the mic, but now I back off more and like the results.  Enjoy!
