I totally agree with Herb. If you could amp it up a bit, it would be absolutely divine.

WOW, what collab... great playing by both of you. Scotty sounds fantastic as always, and Janet, I don't think I've ever enjoyed your playing more (and I've enjoyed it on many songs). I heard alot more tension and syncopation on your piano parts than what I'm used to, and it sounded inspired to me. Loved it. Editing message to add- Excellent composition as well... needed to be said

at first i wasn't sure, but after about a minute you had me. this is basically a violin sonata, or the first movement of said. the mix is good, the overall tone could be better for me, the piano is a touch too strident and almost not enough velocity layers (or compressed to death), whereas the violins have much more subtle use of dynamics. so, young Janet, get thee Mr Scotty off production! or play it a little more subtly at times... hmmm, this piece is fantastic, but i feel it'd be worth just spending a little extra on the piano.

"All I could think of was "genuiine cordoba leather"!" That's funny and quite true. Wouldn't that be great hearing this in an ad for a luxury car. $$$ It's a very satisfying piece. Everything resolves completley throughout and the final resolve is a treat. The piano composition and performance is fantastic Janet. I had to stop and reflect on Scotty's performance after listening. I think high quality string samples are so readily available to buy today in every type (marcato etc) that it's easy to take for granted the amazing touch you have and what it takes to get to the point where you can record performances like this at home Scotty.

Well hi, Larry! I was surprised to see this one percolate to the top again. lol Glad you liked it. Thank you! :-) Hey there, Dena! Amp it up a bit? I thought Herb liked it where I backed off? Oh well, can't please everyone. :-) We'll have to be content with 'close to divine.' Good to see you around again. :-) Thank you Phil. Yeah, I'm not sure where this came from. Oh yeah, I know...it was soon after I watched Phantom of the Opera. I need to expand my listening a bit more I guess. lol And the playing wasn't totally all me...the little input quantize button had a mind of its own and I let it take it where it wanted this time. I can take credit for the composition though. :-) Thanks Mark. I'm glad it hit you eventually. :-) And believe me, you don't want me mixing this thing. I could maybe do something to the piano, although I'll have to look up 'strident.' :-) Thanks so much, RhynoS. :-) I'm very glad you liked it. And yes, ever since Scott came around, the rest of us can't get away with synth strings. :( But what a treat when he can collab and do the real thing. He's good, isn't he? :-)

Excellent! I really like the orchestration with the piano in dead center. Girl, you are putting out songs faster than I can catch my breath!
