Eddie,

I think IK is now just trying to reach all those musos/angryineers/produtchers who have never purchased any of their products.

How does not accepting GCs help reach those people? Will they sell out their inventory if they do?

Cheers,

I'm with Eddie.  It becomes "stupid" to buy GC's when they are PURPOSELY
AVOIDING accepting them for their products.

NONE of the MAX products can be purchased with Gear Credits.  That's about
as dumb as box of rocks.

They're shooting themselves in the FACE.

of course, that's the only prerequisite you need when you want to play bass in a band.

and, ironically, the better you become at playing bass, the fewer notes you play, which leaves even more time for beer ...

DISCLAIMER : maybe its just me and my opinion, and we know about opinions

BUT

a modeled Bass? I cant see in the context of most mixes where a sampled bass with articulation or without wouldnt pass muster and not need modeling

Guitar on the other hand I would welcome and think about purchasing , thats where the rubber hits the road and you separate the men from the boys ,even though the current context of sampled guitar libraries are quite nice still they are sampled..

once again my pennies worth

I suppose IK might have some modeled pianos and keyboards up in the sleeve, but it's hard to compete with Modartt and AAS, so they released bass to fill the niche and see how well this will be received. For the price of Trillian many users might prefer Trillian. Acoustic Samples has an even better offer with the Bass Collection, which includes upright and fretless basses.

Sometime this month :)  For those still on the fence, I don't have a specific date but if you wait much beyond mid-month you may lose out on the preorder pricing.

this is what i don't like about pre ordering, the wait, i am actually really looking forward to getting this in my hot littls hands . . . taps fingers

i like the reduced price of course, and with ik the fact that i can use jam points, even better. sometimes it seems like i am one of the few who actually the like jam points and gear credits system, i think it's pretty awesome, easy to follow and use.

Physical modeling fascinates me. I was just messing about with PianoTeq and thinking that it seemed more alive than some other pianos. I hope this goes well for you and the company, Peter. I wonder if a few decades hence we will have every instrument, real and fantastic, packed into a gig of modeled instruments... Of course I'll be happy just to be here a few decades hence.
