I am thinking about getting a second set of studio monitors to A/B with my KRK's.  Thinking about getting Yamaha HS50M (5").
Unfortunately 8-inch drivers (in a 2-way speaker) are inevitably weakest in a part of the frequency spectrum that needs to be focused on when mixing.  A 5-inch alternative seems like a good idea.

...Someone else once posted...that one thing that's useful while mixing, or even Mastering is to get up out of your chair and walk around the room, even out into the hallway while the song is playing...


 I remember reading that too.

well, the headphones may be good after you get a mix, but they sure didn't work well for mixing.  gonna go demos some new monitors today!
