I have had 12GB of Ram for quite a while now and I do not have issues with X1a-And yes I have used PC. Alsdo lp64 which as I stated a month ago-froze up 853 everytime I tried an adjustment during playback. But in X1a-no freezes at all with Lp64 (the EQ I mean)Of course,being on the positive side of X1a sets me up for attacks and rants. But I can take it-I am a grown up :-)
 
Don't worry, no rants or attacks from me, I'm on the positive side as well.

Out of curiosity, are your projects actually using more than 4 gig or Ram? If not, that might be why you've been lucky. I don't believe this is a problem with how much ram is in a machine, it more dependent on how much ram is being used by Sonar.

That's a good question. Never checked. I will though, tonight. I can tell you I use, as a general rule 5-10 (guesstamit) instances of Kontakt 422, including Steven slate Drums. I always have True Piano, TTS-1 (for odd stuff), Session drummer 3(for ?) I also do things somewhat weird. I do not delete the softsynth and midi tracks until I am happy with the bounced audio tracks and have a starting place of a mix. I use alloy on almost all audio tracks. Thier is more, but better I just check tonight.
BTW, I knew I wouldn't get an flac from you :-)

I've had 12 GIG of RAM for ages but I've moved away from Cakewalk plugins pretty much sonce version 8 so it may explain why my system woth S8 has been so stable.

The same info doesn't offer an explanation why X1a doesn't work though.

Nope-it doesn't. And x1a is stable for me-So go figure? I just hope all this ends well for everyone here-and I do mean everyone.
