They've also got Sonar 8.5 videos as well. For those that are hanging with it for the time being.

Are these the same X1 videos that are released from Cakewalk or are these made by Groove3?

They are not the usual Cakewalk made videos and appears to be produced by Groove3.

Positively Charged

Oh man you are dead on, Keebo.  The videos are excellent.

And there's a music theory video I want to watch too, and it's done by the same guy.  You could read the entire internet twice and there would still be something for you yet to learn in music theory...

Off to bed now so I can get up early and do some work on Friday...

I missed the music theory vids - thanks PC

drumr - thanks so much for posting this.  Excellent Sonar X1 tutorial series.  Have watched about two thirds of it and feel much more comfortable using Sonar now!

I must be missing something.  I signed up and everything and I'm able to watch the videos that are listed to the left on the G3 Free Web Pass window, but the only Sonar Video is 8.5.  If I navigate through the categories I can get to Sonar X1, but it isn't free in that area.  What am I doing wrong?

As I am going through these videos, I am learning so much more about Sonar X1 that I didn't get from the Manual.

The instructor is awesome and goes into detail about a lot of functions.

bapu, I think all you have to do is register for an account to get the promo code, then the vids are available - after you login each time.

I'm registered and logged in, but can't get any Sonar X1 videos.  I can watch a bunch of different videos, but the free web pass doesn't seem to work with everything.  For example, there are only two Sonar 8.5 videos available.  Unless I'm doing something wrong - please tell me.  Maybe the SonarX1 videos are no longer available?

Here are screenshots of where I'm at:

The first image shows the top of the free video list.  If you scroll down to Sonar (2nd image) you'll see only 2 Sonar 8.5 videos.

After signing up and then signing in, I've been clicking "Training Videos" in the top menu at the site.  There you see a long list of vids with thumbnails, and you'll see the X1 logo.  Click that, then the list of the entire X1 series comes up, and those are direct links to the vids.

These videos are so good - this should be required viewing for all SonarX1 users.  I'm sure you can learn all this stuff from Cakewalk manuals and such but this is way more intuitive.

Just remember when you watch the Audio Snap tute, that you're seeing how it's supposed to work, but doesn't, since somehow AS got broken after the vids were made.

What a find!  I bought the X1 video a few weeks ago and it was very informative.  I have been considering the Melodyne video and the DAW FX 101 stuff, but was on the fence.  This 30 day free is amazing.

I just went back for a refresher and noticed that there is only one video available to watch now for X1.  I can no longer select categories as before and it is the same for any product I select.

Did they catch wind of us here and decided to narrow the content so as to entice us to purchase from them or is my browser (Firefox) not functioning properly?  I am going through the same steps as before.  It was fine at work yesterday.

Anybody else run in to this issue?

I will TOTALLY agree with you there. When I got to that part I went out of my mind trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. 8.5 did it....wt (beep)?

Of course it was already reported but as much as I'm around I didn't find that. Anyways, it worked for him, why wasn't it working for me :grrrrrrr:

The "one" is if you are not logged in, or are you saying when you are logged in??

We need confirmation or denial on this as that would be a huge negative.
