Awesome! I have a 64bit system and moved the Muz3um folder and dropped it into the Rapture subfolder called Multisamples on the non (x86) side of things. Super cool sounds and sequences. Thanks!

Hey guys,

I found some extra time to update the Muz3um Rapture installer for better 1.2 compatibility. Now that 1.2 offers users to run both 32 and 64 versions of Rapture the Muz3um installer will install to both locations on 64bit systems.

Simply re-download the file to get the latest installer. The download now includes 2 installers, the original installer for Rapture 1.1 and the new installer for Rapture 1.2 and higher.

Cheers!
Chad

The good get gooder - or is it better?

Even tho I'm all up and running, nice to see the work on this outstanding set continues.

Thanks all from all.

Is there anywhere else to download Muz3um instead of Patch Arena? Files from that site usually don't work or are corrupt. I don't have a problem with downloads, or zip files, on any other website. Even though I am a registered user there, I get usable files at about 1 in 20.

Many thanks,

Oh, I should have mentioned I tried the alternate link on this forum and the download beta on PatchArena's site. NO GO.

I found Muz3um for Rapture on Patch Arena a few weeks ago and it is just fantastic !
Much better than many commercial libraries I have bought.

I just downloaded some stuff from the site, I get the same problem. Winzip say they are invalid archives.

I left a message in comments and reported it using the contact form on the website. I am using a fully licensed version of Winzip 11.0.

I had tried numerous times without success to download and install this package over the last month or so.  I had all but forgotten it until yesterday when the thread made it back up to the top.  After trying unsuccessfully yet again (using IE), I decided to try Firefox, and that worked.

So, whatever browser you're using, maybe try a different one?

I haven't spent much time with the new patches yet, but I would say it's definitely worth your time to try a few more things, as they seem pretty promising!

Good luck!

Here's what I did to download the Rapture Muz3um zip, based on info in this page: http://kb.winzip.com/kb/entry/150

In IE, go to Tools | Internet Options. On the Advanced tab page, turn off the Use HTTP 1.1 option. I restarted IE, but this probably wasn't necessary.

If the download is working, you will get percentage updates, if not it will display the amount of data downloaded.

I downloaded and installed Muz3um for Rapture LE a couple of months ago.  I finally got around to using it and I'm blown away!!  Awesome patches.

I've spent hours going through the first 200 patches and I've been inspired by many of them.  I've recorded around a dozen really cool riffs that were inspired by the patches.  By the time I'm finished auditioning all 650+ sounds, I'm sure I'll have a few dozen really useful riffs or song ideas.

A huge thanks to Fr4nsesco and his collaborators.  You guys have been generous in the extreme.

Hey, if I were to make a song full of these presents, would I be able to sell it as my own song, or would I not be allowed to use the presents and/or have to credit cakewalk/rapture?

fr4ncesco made it off his own back.. nothing to do with cakewalk.

but the samples used were used under acknowledgement / credited..

of course you can use them in your own work as a COMBINED song work.. e..g. for not another sample pack where it's 2 layers stuck together

LHousehold,

The smaples and presets were done by a user.  I haven't heard anything about restrictions, tho of course you can't use the samples to "sell" your own sample packs from them.  But for songs you are home free.

The same goes for Cakewalk's packs - as well as most legitatmate samples/presets.  You can use them in your own songs.  You can also sell your presets using the native Cake sounds.  3rd party samples can have all kinds of restrictions, so read before you buy.

Thanks to the following people:

- all who provided the sample material (some of them even when this project was a collection for z3ta+): hollowsun.com, analoguesamples.com, john from ruskeys.net, chad from patcharena.com, antonio from autodafe.net, rory from rozzer.net

it's ok to use them in finished songs.
