Yep +1 here too. I don't see myself going back to 8.5 anytime soon, if ever. Yes, the key bindings are new, but so what? Learn the new ones. Force yourself from the start to used the new bindings and shortcuts. Soon it will be second nature. To be honest I didn't use keybindings much before as it seemed too hard to remember everything as it didn't make much sense. Now, it makes alot of sense and I think it works great. The future of X1 looks good indeed.

I want to stay with X1 but having a d few to many problmes to do any work on. Its still on my try out system and wont amke it to my studio PC until more is fixed.

But like I said I want to. I'm hoping that the X1b update and whatever/whenever the usual major point release comes out will be what flips me over permanently to X1.

As of Feb 1 I have to work again so I'll be using 8.5.3 as it is a known quantity and I can't be trying to get my head around projects and dealing with all the new stuff. I admit the new GUI is like wading in mud for me. I can nearly run 8.5.3 with my eyes closed if i did that in X1 man what a mess. Anyway i won't be beaten BIT Cakewalk have really got to klift their game to make it work properly. Then sit down and try and work out what went wrong and what went right this time around.
That doesn't mean I wont continue to do what I'm doing now, experimenting and trying to make the wheels fall off so i can eventually have the same confidence in X1 that i have in 8.5.3

For those of you using Win7 x64 have you tried launching the app as Administrator?  I was having a problem with one of my old soft synths until I launched it that way then it worked perfectly.  Check it out.

I am lucky, I was not heavily invested in 8.5.3 as I was having a hard time learning it.  X1 has been a dream it just makes sense to me.  All the way until it caused my power amp to blow up. Well maybe it was just that my amp was ready to blow, but I sure have put some hours on it since getting X1.

Thanks to the bakers and all the other folks at Cakewalk

You can teach an old dog new tricks, it just takes a little longer!

Positively Charged

Is anybody taking bets on how many pages of "last words" will there be?

Sorry, that was off topic and probably not as funny as I thought it would be.  I will self moderate and get my coat now!

Actually, I think you are not alone in those thoughts.

Golly, can you believe it's almost been a month???!
