No How

Bobby,

Very nice playing and mix.  I'm hoping to hear it with a vocal.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply, I have a couple of people with different idea's on this one.

That doesn't mean that I can't work on various other idea's, after all it is my song.

If you would like to work on a version send me an email and I can send ya the track.

This was just plain fun for me to do.

Thanks again

I'd have to say I think this is the best I've heard from you.....

everything seems to be it should be and most of all the tone on the guitars is stellar for what your shoot for..

very very good work!

Thank you! For taking the time to listen and reply.  Not sure where this ones going, we shall see.

Thanks again

That is hot stuff, Bobby... really a rockin' track for sure.  Looking forward to hearing where it goes from here: lyrics, vocals and so on.  Yeah, I'd second Scotty's suggestion, as this sounds like something Bob could sing really well.

Thanks Man!!! I would love for Bob to work with me on some stuff but he's always busy working on an album. That's cool, I know people are busy doing their own thing.

This is where I will lose my MOJO so to speak, when I add more than what I have in this song it will start losing it's overall sound structure or pizzas so to speak. When I go to adding vox one or the other will take over the mix, or adding lead guitar also. I'm lost on this area of mixing. I know compression more or less if I understand it right tightens the band width of the sound zone in a particular stereo spectrum sound, but it sure is hard to find the right element points to figure out where they go.

LOL, Fancy words and a lot of pondering, I'm working on this stuff, I'm trying anyway.

Thanks

Very nice guitar work. I'll be interested to hear it with vocals. Please not rap though :-)

What part of "Rap Song" do you not understand from the description? I'm down with this tune, it's PHAT!
Well, maybe a bit slim, but it's a bit off the hook that much I must say!

I'm only kidding, and as for the urban jokes all apologies if that offends anyone, I am from the hood.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply. I don't know where this one will go, we shall see.

This a real rocker. Very cool tune. It kicks in all the right places.

It needs vox, or maybe not.

Thanks Herb, I appreciate you taking the time to listen and reply.

I never really script anything I do, most of the time I just start a click track and start playing, maybe that's why things end up such a mess for the end result. I done the same thing with this one, but I took the time to actually listen to what I was doing, and I had some helpful advice from James/Radio on how the drums should sound that helped a lot.

In the past when I had nothing but a 4 track cassette multitrack recorder, many years ago I should say, I had an acoustic guitar and I would always have a finished song before recording. Now all I have is a classical acoustic "That I haven't picked up in forever" and a electric guitar.  Maybe I need to start writing on my classic guitar and play it like an acoustic for idea's. I dunno. I guess if a songs meant to be it will happen, if not then it wont.

Thanks again

A good solid foundation and interesting rhythm is one thing you've always had from the start, you are certainly growing as a sound engineer and producer as well. This is really cool but to be honest I'm a bigger fan of your southern fried rock stuff but this is nicely done and recorded.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply.

I'm confused with you saying by saying southern fried, I think you mean - "Rockin'Country"?   Not sure.

Is it ripping and flash solo type of stuff, or a moody melody?

LOL, I have none of that so it must be just forgetting what's going on and going for it.

I'm just kidding!

But I'm not kidding for saying THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO REPLY and LISTEN! And BTW You have some awesome kick arse music of your own!!!!

Thanks Again!!!

Thank you for taking the time to listen and reply I really do appreciate it. I like all music, not just what I play. I especially love old rock'n'roll from the 50's era. It was just so pure and honest to hear.

Not sure where this one will end up, chances most likely are that without any vox it want go anywhere. I might just say the heck with it and finish it myself. LOL, If I do, I apologize in advance for the vox, I'll try my best on the guitars, and who knows maybe it wont be as bad as I think it might be.

I really should get something like melodyne or whatever it's called, one of those vocals correction programs like almost everyone seems to be using these days.

Oh well, I guess I'll just sound bad and be honest.

Thanks again!

hi Bobby,
I've not listened to anything of yours in a long time.  this is really quite good for a base!  it needs some real melody, tho.  I know you aren't a singer (as you've said many times), but you could still create melodies with instruments.  use your keyboard to add a melody line to the song and this will be a great finished instrumental!

Thanks Janet, no need to say sorry. Any chance I could talk you into a piano solo on this?  I bet your busy though, that's cool if so, I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks again

Thanks beagle, there might be multiple versions of this, I dunno yet, some of that's out of my hands at this point so to speak.

I'm glad to have something that I took the time to actually work on for a change. In the past I'd just throw anything out there because I was happy to be able to add bass/drums and such without having to rely on somebody else.   LOL, it was nothing new to the people listening I'm sure, but to me it was a big accomplishment to add bass and drums without relying on somebody else to add them. Maybe that might explain a lot of my tunes.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen and reply.

Hi Bobby,

Great riffs and mix.

Love the guitar tone you're getting on this...

Hope to hear it with vox at some point
