Hi Scotty,

24 tracks? 31 tracks?

It's a great song and great playing either way!

Outstanding arrangement, too.

Hey Gary,
Thanks for dropping by to listen. I appreciate your commentary.

"It sounds like most of the population of Montpelier playing!"

That's funny.

Very surprised at the change after the intro. Can't say I've heard that before.  All the little details are cool. Very enjoyable.

Mark

Thanks for checking it out, Mark! I'm glad you were surprised. You should have seen how surprised I was when I commposed it!

Absolutely terrific stuff Scotty.  I like Rik's take on the song -- the Celts meet the Native Americans to have a "jolly knees up".  It does sound like you have written a positive moment in history.  The interplay of the fiddles and the guitars are wonderful as is the song, performance, and the job you did on mixing it all together.
Nice one!!!

Thank you very much, Freddy! Your compliments are enough to make a grown man blush!

Dittos Scottytunes. EXCELLENT job.

Fun song to listen to. I hate dancing, but for some reason this song makes me want to!

Is that a piano I hear in there?

What I find so amazing is that fact that this is such a dense mix and yet it is so clear!

Nice work.....but then again..you always do nice work!

Kiki,
Thank you! Yes, there is a piano, a few guitars, a few fiddles, a bass and 3 drummers, including a bodhran player from Ireland.

Cliff,
Thank you very much! glad you like the mix.

great manhandling of way too many tracks!
LOL
excellent blending of all the harmonies and melodies....
does remind me a bit of kansas, because of the electrics and violins blended...
but i like kansas. so there.

No sir but I work hard at being a Musician/ Guitarist. I've always loved the sound of the fiddle and my Grand Paw passed his on to me but I just could never get a good sound out it.

I got a bit of Charlie Daniels on that opening fiddle Scotty!!

Not only Native American, but as Freddy stated..Celtic influences as well.

This tune would go well on stage with some visuals IMO.

Great stuff and playing as always!

This is different and original!  This reminds of my visit to Arizona which I visited the Musical Instrument Museum.  They had all kind of interesting exhibits about instruments all over the world and samples of their music.  You certainly bring a lot of celtic and eastern european flavor in this song.  Very nicely done, bravo.

I'm thinking what the heck man????? I like this, but is this Polka meets goth metal meets modern script writing meets Scotty with the orchestration?   Nothing bad meant by that, I'm just saying, "WOW!!!!!!".

Excellent!!! And strange and creative, but most of all WOW!
