I edited my post Fleer, as I didn't get it straight. Unfortunately, I don't have anything from NI that allows me to cross grade to Komplete. So, I hope there is a way or they put at it a half price for the Holidays.

I can use GPO to cross grade to Kontakt 5 for the $249 reg. price. Kontakt seems to be about a third of the Komplete package Library size wise.

If you crossgrade to Kontakt, be sure to at least wait until Black Friday. You should be able to get that crossgrade for $125 between now and xmas I guess. Then again, be aware that Kontakt 6 is long overdue, and could be coming in the next months.

Of course, this is all about cheap and free stuff. Once you're ready to spend some dough, the sky's the limit. Orange Tree Samples, SampleLogic, Spitfire Audio, Kirk Hunter, VSL, get ready to mortgage your house and sell your kids.

I already spent more this year on In The Box stuff than I have in years!  and we haven't gotten to Black Friday yet!
Oh well, the kids are already gone, but I've got 3 grandkids...hmmm...

The Reaktor user library is great fun.

I've been using it for effects lately.

My faves at the moment:
L3V3LL3R compressor
WonderEcho
Tel Ray Echo-ver-brato

I recently rediscovered some old ensembles:

Organic (that I had modded the 2nd drawbar section out)
Water Organ
and 2 from lAZyflS:
c h o n n d o
h e i s h e r e

those last 2 ensembles and some echo you'll be good for a few hours

I won't have any trouble waiting for the sales! LOL Besides I've got plenty going to on to distract me until then; prepping for winter, turning my breezeway into a year round room for tracking, and all kinds of updates, in addition to just plain "time in the studio". At times retirement seems busier than when I gigged full time, taught 35+ guitar lessons each week and operated a home studio. I'm 66 and have done music  for 52 years solid.
I do hope to find a deal on Komplete 10, but will get Kontakt 5 at least. I wasn't paying attention to NI, so thanks for the reminder that K6 is coming.

The above has got HUGE Kontakt-format (and other format) sample collections you can download for various synths.  INCREDIBLE - Like maybe 20 GB+ of free stuff.

Thanks, this one is new to me. I have started downloading stuff!
