New BandLab Assistant update 3.0.9 and CbB build 31 available!
If you have BA already running you would have already received an update notification. However for those who do not have it running please launch it and allow it to auto update. You can also directly download the latest BA from here. This update paves the way for an upcoming point release for the last Cakewalk release so please download and install it as soon as possible to make things smoother. Improvements- Improved logic for handling Cakewalk installers. The main Cakewalk core installers starts in prompted mode while all other installers will run silently. - Fix for bug where updating the core installer automatically triggered installation of Studio Instruments. - Tiny download progress indicator between main window and tabs appears when BA downloads update for itself. - Various stability improvements and bug fixes 5/22 Update:A new build 31 for Cakewalk is also available via BandLab assistant now. This minor update contains a few fixes to prevent incorrect Demo Mode activation that a few users encountered.

Updated OK. The only concern was the delay between clicking "Update Now" and the notice to shut down BA to allow the update to continue. I was not sure anything was happening during that time (about 15 to 20 seconds but seemed a lot longer).

Thanks Noel. Ran BLA and selected update. It downloaded OK but then I got an error: "The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." When I try to run Bandlab Assistant it no longer finds the program. I presume it got as far as uninstalling 3.08 and then failed. So I downloaded 3.0.9 from your link and it installed fine and all seems OK. CbB still works fine and remains activated (phew).

I downloaded the BA this weekend for the first time (no update) and was version 3.09. Everything went smooth with it for me in the whole process, but again was a "clean" BA install.

Update applied here with no problems... But I must again notice that as others have mentioned.... Notification of processes and progress is still a bit "sloppy"... Thanks for the update... Looking forward to what's up next!

There is a bunch of new stuff coming in BA for the next CbB update but this particular one was to address a few major grievances and bugs and also to prep for a small CbB point release.

Thanks for the update! I know that you have been working so that Cakewalk has due recognition in the audio world. We hope for this! However, Cakewalk continues to work in demo mode, even with all BA upgrades. Excuse me ... I'm not criticizing, but I wish something was done about it, so I could work. Thank you for your attention

Same here I had an ominous feeling for 20 secs or so, but having said that so far all is well with Version 24.04.1 Build 28

Ademir I sent you a message several days ago asking for the demo mode error code displayed in the about box. Did you not receive my PM? We have solved all the issues that we know of to the best of our knowledge.

I got an immediate notice to update when I started BA, clicked OK, then it seemed to be doing its thing, then restarted and gave me the same notice, and second time around finished. Upon restart it was running 3.0.9. A little bumpy but ultimately successful. I then used it to install what looks like a minor update to CbB, Build 31. Thanks! Nice tight development schedule! Do users have access to a change log? I'm just curious what was changed in this new build.

Installed without a hitch here... I updated BA last night before the CbB update was available, so this morning, I opened it and clicked update for CbB... I was immediately greeted by a progress bar and within a couple of seconds after 100%, the welcome sight of the regular Cake installer gave me the language selection and proceeded to unpack/extract/install the update... CbB is now running the new update with no issues known... Thanks Noel and all the Bakers! Things are getting back to "normal"!
