Doooods. I only have one song where I'm using the SG right now. It's under NDA so I can't share it. All I can say is I previously had the Ivory II Bosendorfer 820 on the song and it now sounds much betterer with the SG on it (to my ears).

That's good info. Just gimme what you got that all I could ask. My problem with big Grands has been they sound so good when you demo them but put 'em in a mix and it's mud city. So my hope has been the SG would be voiced a bit more for recording. The name implies that but maybe they didn't get the job done.

BD, Here's my actual take on it. Each piano in the right song will work. There is no one size fits all, IMO. Same with drums, guitars, bass etc. Now with that song I'm working on. The Bosendoofer was just fine UNTIL I heard the SG. I am sure that in another song the SG will lose to the Bousonduffer.

I haven't heard much talk about it but I like the original Toontrack Grand. The Studio Grand will prob purchased in the next few weeks.
