New EZkeys model - Studio Grand
Studio Grand ? When you go and open door 2 in their Holiday Deal Week thingy, and scroll down you get  and the following text OUT NOW.EZKEYS STUDIO GRAND.The Steinway & Sons B-211, widely considered the “perfect piano” and the number one choice for professional studio work.
But when you click on it there is nothing there. I'm sure there was no 'Studio Grand' before ?

I will be looking forward to hearing what the keyboard players think about this one. So many of the big grands sound great in the demo but not so great in the mix. That is why the small upright is getting all the buzz.

Wanna know 2.
Still have juan expansion left, so hesitating 'tween the Small Upright and the new Studio Grand. Hoping the latter is the better one in a mix. After all, that's a Steinway B, while the original EZkeys Grand is a Steinway D.

I purchased the electrics deal and then purchased the New Studio Grand. Actually the studio grand sounds pretty darn good.
I dropped a midi file in of Bill Evans 'Blue in Green', used the warm and saturated preset and Wow. I can see myself using this just as a practice piano sound when I just need a quick stand alone sound generator to capture a quick idea. YMMV.
I never had any interest in EZKeys because I thought it was just for situations that lacked a piano player. Did not realize it could make a decent sound source also. Currently looking for the right deal on the Vintage Upright.
Purrrfect Audio DAW here. Wow!...

Look at the Small Upright as well, Rick. Don't forget that buying those expansions is often cheaper at Time&Space or BestService.

I purchased the studio grand from best service for around $54 but it looks like they have gone up another $10 now. I'll keep watching...
Can't wait till cclarry gets back, he finds all the deals!

WARNING: Bean Spill Approaching.. I don't have any others except the electrics to compare to but, from the Demos, I personally prefer the Studio Grand the most. I also like the sound of the Vintage Upright and the right sale price could convince me to spend more money that I don't have...

I do understand the VU would be something I would use in a more intimate mix and would think the Studio Grand would be at home in a bigger mix.

Well, I'm this guy sitting on a fence with Edith and not caving in yet. I've got the original TT Steinway D grand and all electrics as well as the mello, but that's that. And now I have one expansion lying around, probably for the Studio Grand, as I'm hoping that one will be good in the mix as well. It's a lot smaller compared to the original D. So, as for now, no TT uprights in the house, no original upright, no vintage upright, no small upright. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I just can't go for an upright when there's an interesting (Studio) grand awaiting.
