The fans speak and The Coffee House Band listens... and responds. New mix is now posted on Soundclick as of Jan 24, 2010 10PM (PST).

A bump in case you have not heard the new mix posted just now.

duuuuuuuude!  (High Praise from a Southern Californian for those who might not know).

Geez-Louise, JonBouy... those are some really interesting drum patterns (by which,k of course, I mean that I love them).   Wait... HOLY CROW!  GUITAR SOLO!  Man! I dig the wah-wah's in the back too.... it's all crunchy, good.  Nice vox, Space.  Seriously good.  Bapu, grinding away.  Best one yet, for me.

G'day peoples - well done chb! i cannot get the song out of my head, have been singing it all day - advised my friends to listen and they love it! The drums are f'n amazing, however i tend to agree with 'MGH' in that the solo needs to be pulled back a smidge, otherwise a great throwback for a metal guitarist. Sorry to the publicans of earth -  but i have decided to follow Bing (join me it's all good). Long live the puss (asparapuss people!). Can't wait for the next instalment.

Just a quick thanks particularly for the feedback on the drumtrack for this which seems to have been well received here.

I very much appreciate your thoughts here as I did this one quite awhile back now and kinda lost my way a bit through one thing or another over recent months so the the confidence boost has been really welcome.

I getting back into the swing of things again now and hope to continue do these talented folk justice in my efforts on the upcoming projects in progress.

Got a horrible feeling that this is gonna stick in my head all day tomorrow so that I won't be able to concentrate on what I'm supposed to be working on. I've never quite known if CHB songs are supposed to be taken seriously or not, I'm guessing not and it sure sounds like you had some fun doing this, so much so that nobody wanted to stop - my way of saying that it's maybe a little on the long side ;) Good though esp. the drums.

@twindle - It only took me 17.98392526 versions to get it right (the other CHB members are taskmasters I tell ya).

@kev1... - Glad you liked it.

@Chookahead - The song was designed with subliminal messages. That's why you can't get it out of your head. Our biggest task will be to create a new message in the next song to erase that song and replace it with the new on. An on and on and on and on....
@paulo - Good thing we're not the Beatles and you said "That ending on Hey Jude seemed a little long.", we might have listened to you. :-) j/k... Glad you liked it.

@Jonbouy - Of course the drums were well received here. You are the genius of the group. Love ya like a brother (from another mother), mate.

What really strikes me about this song is how heavy you were able to make it with very little distorted guitar. The bass / drum groove is cool and by mid-way through the song was locked in really tight. Vox are too cool! But man that guitar part around 4:30 stole the show!!! Nice job fellas...

This is super creative and really well done.

Did you ask Bill Gates permission?

With the right video on U-Tube you guys could have a viral hit IMO.

Love it,

Peace,

Ian

All hail the CHB and their crushing wall of sound!

A worthy addition to the ongoing saga.  Great sounding mix and great performances.  Congrats on another super-collab.  Rock on!

Dave called it how this is so heavy but the guitars aren't in your face distorted.  Great work.

Dan - thanks for taking a listen and for your kind comments, glad you enjoyed the song

Chancellor Groung (Alan) - how's it going buddy, good to see you  and thanks for the kind words.  However, I find it hard to believe you have adopted the new name as, unfortunately, there on no vowels on Grzylrg I'll see if I can get Ed to translate it for you!

Tony - great to hear from you buddy, it's really appreciated   I agree with the assessment about the heaviness of the song - the rhythm parts of Space's guitar, Ed's bass and Jon's drums are so 'locked in' the song has a greater force than it would first appear.

Okay, I've been skeptical, not to mention sceptical, all along of what I supposed was a vanity project. but you've convinced me with this one. Terrific lyrics, deadpan delivery, downright scary performances. literally. my girlfriend walked into the room and said, "honey, you're scaring me!"  And VERY sneaky the way you slipped Asparapuss in there.  So I'm a new fan. This is High Art at its very finest.
