I can't remember the old drums, sorry! But these could use some more widening. Look at it this way: you one guitar over here, another way over there, setting up a wide stage. And the drums are stuck in the middle. Why don't you pan the cymbals a bit more, and then widen the snare's reverb?

I think the drums sound good. I've listened to so many songs here in the last few days here I honestly can't remember what was up with them originally. The snare has a nice pop that doesn't offend. Don't know about you but drums are such a struggle for me. I will take this oppurtunity to comment on the picked guitar in the backround. It's great and I love what happens at the 1:00 minute mark with the guitar.

Thanks James. I appreciate the ears. I'm somewhat limited with the drum panning since they are loops, but I'll try to mess with them as you suggest. I might have some luck with a stereo widener or something. Very good tips, thanks. Hi rhyno. Yes drums are a struggle for me too, but I learn a little more each day. I appreciate the comments about the guitars. Thanks.

Another thumbs up from me for your superb guitar work and the wonderful tones you get from them. The new drums give this track the power it needed and is a huge improvement. Agree that some panning would make them sound less enclosed though. This is a great track Mark.

I've added some new lead on the last chorus and outro. I've also replaced both rhythm guitars to eliminate the bass bloom that was happening. I add a stereo widener to the drums for more separation and isolated the snare with left and right reverb tracks for it. This will be the final mix. I think I've reached my technical limits and any other changes would be subjective matters of opinion. Thank you very much for all that contributed their ideas and ears to this song! Blipp thanks for your feedback on this song, Much appreciated.

Revision 3 Lead partitions are a treat to follow (especially since the additions). You really squeezed some convincing tones. Sounds great over here also (JBL LSR 4326).

Hi marcos69, this is a great song with great guitar playing that gets even better toward the end, really nice buildup. I like the fact that you have a really catchy theme and great solo in the same song.Reminded me somehow of the miami vice tune and this would make a great themesong for an action movie. Greetings ,Morenoise

Now, this is guitar orchestrations the way I envision it ... tones and rhythms merging and morphing together, building up, cascading into ... a guitar symphony ... with perfect ear tolerance ... all in noble unison and harmony! Extremely well excecuted and mixed, to my crony ears. EDIT: Marcos, I'd be extremely honored for you to solo a section or 2 for a melancholy (gentle love-broken) piece I'm starting to 'give-birth-to'. If interested, please pm me.

OK, I did it. I started listening to all your songs while cleaning up my studio (and the closets near it mostly). (got about halfway through) Three observations: 1 - It would be nice if your songs were on Reverbnation or something similar so I could listen straight through. :-) 2 - It's obvious you've been writing and recording for awhile. 3 - It's doubly obvious you've been playing for awhile. It's been great listening to them back to back. And I like your new avatar too. :-)

Mark, Great tune with a lot of melodic oomph to it! The bass is very cool and the drums work very well. I like how you stepped a little outside the box on a few lead parts but still brought home the bacon with our signature sounds. Very nice ramp up at 2:57, smokin stuff man!

Very nice Mark. Excellent use of doubled lines. I like how the cleaner lines with the delay stand out against the more distorted lines. It gave me a sense of vertical separation of the parts, if that makes sense, like some tones were coming from overhead. Nicely done.

Janet - 1. You can play them back to back if you click play all. Unless it is cutting off on you which it does sometimes. 2. I have. 3. I have doubly. Tony - thanks, I had a lot of trouble getting the bass I was after, but I think I've got it figured out now. The part at 2:57 was an after thought that I recorded in on my last mix. I think it pulled it all together. Bill - thanks, it took a lot of trimming frequencies to get those parts to stand out right. It actually took re-recording a lot to get the mud out. I even switched guitars to get what I needed. I think it was worth it though for the final result. Thanks for commenting.

Holy cow!! Probably my favorite Marcos tune!! This falls into my favorite category "SLINKY". I mean this: I REALLY LIKE THIS". Now, I do have to fall in with that other crusty old bass player (Bapu), I think the bass should be a little fuller. I wish I had the skills to say add this remove this, but I don't. The tone might very well be what you are looking for but I feel the bottom could be a little more "there" with a fuller bass sound. Doesn't matter, I thin this is right up there with Rob's (Batsbrew) The Time is Magic for a great instrumental. I sure wish I could feel that bass in my gut. I'm using the same phones I usually use so.... Well, HOT tune. You cretainly are a premiere player, Mark!!!

Hey Warren, thanks a bunch. I'm not sure what else I could do for the bass. I'm open to suggestions. Hey vechung, Thanks for the listen. I've never been compared to Phil Keaggy before. I'll take that as a huge compliment.

Mark, with the new lead work, delays, and the drums, I'm gettin' that 'Dirty Laundry' song vibe. (compliment) (Remember that tune?) This revamp is excellent!! Did you crank the bass a little too? Larry
