Looks like they re-did the console view....no little marks or numbers to clutter things up next to the meters.

X2 is said to be out by early October. I was told this by customer support. You will not be able to upgrade your X1 Studio or Home studio to Producer or Producer expanded ect after mid september. I think I am going to sit this upgrade out. It came down to the Maschine Mark 1 vs Sonar X2 I chose Maschine.

    Hey All,

We have uploaded our version of the X2 Overview video which has the preferred audio mix in the video. For whatever reason the Connect link had the music mixed lower than originally intended.

I've replaced the original post here with the link to our video, and you can see it on the link below, as well.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the proper mix.

    Xabiton,

I believe Support was probably trying to say that you won't be able to purchase upgrades to SONAR X1 after after X2 is released.

You can, of course, upgrade to X2 anytime after it comes out, from any version of SONAR or the older Home Studio line.

Additionally, you can upgrade to any version of SONAR X1 right now and get the upgrade to that version of SONAR X2 for free.

Thanks for the new video ! Looks good !

But doesnt mention anything about unrestricted color customization for all views including console view. Is that feature now updated to be like in previous versions like Sonar 7 OR does it continue to be restricted like in Sonar X1 ?

MP3 is listed in the dropdown at 1:02, but that might still mean you then have to use your own (present) route to make the MP3.  Seth?

My only concearn, is the missing info on this long awaited Automation, the drawing still looks the same to me, not looking good from what i can see, still looks a mess, okay we have the automation lanes which Iam looking forward too and I cant wait for that, but as of yet we have no clues about the new drawing modes, i just hope automation drawing works a lot better and coping and duplicating etc actually works as it should, this was the main area that has kept me from not overlly bothering with Sonar,It was not nice to use.
    Cakewalk
is their more to come ?, or is it just what we have seen in these 2 videos, just really need to know more about the automation, not that their are not some great improvemenst' yes!,
But does automation now do what it is suppose to  ?

    Thanks

I'm kind of underwhelmed on this video. I give it a two thumbs meh.

Maybe Seth and Brandon are working so hard on the upcoming Webinar that there wasn't much time for this.

But I'm really looking forward to X2 though...bring it on!

I'm not sure what you are saying here....but just for the record, once you buy the MP3 encoder you need not buy it again.  You will be able to export MP3s in all your updates.  You might have to re-paste your serial #.

    If it's VS = Octa = Quad, I'm happy!

Roland Octa-Capture. That's the lowest setting for their VS Streaming driver (same in VS-700, VS-100, Quad=Capture).
