I was wondering why I didn't hear the wierd drums, etc.  It's a new mix!  I am not sure if I like the echo spots, BUT, I didn't write it and you have the vision.  I thought everyone played reall well on this and the mix works.  The song itself is great!  I do think the bass is a little low still and it could use some eq or something for some more punch  or bottom.  It is a great bass part!  Oh, nice vocals by all, you golden throated devil, you.

I think a touch of reverb would work here.  I strive to use as little as possible but this could stand a touch I think.

Good tune, nice hook and melody, vocals.   .

Hey Warren!  thanks, yeah, there's a new version up with tamer drums and louder bass.  I will consider bumping it up a little more, tho!  thanks!  I appreciate the great comments!  haha!

Daryl - thanks so much!  I have some verb on it, but I may have backed it off too much in the last version.  I'll bump it back up a notch or two.  thanks very much for the listen and comments!

hey Reece i like this song a lot! Can't beat Easter as a source of song lyrics! Your vocal is excellent in this, i liked the rock intonations in your voice which worked well. The organ as a pad/vocal augmentation works well too. i would maybe like to hear a little change in tempo with the drums at times, just to break it up, but a cool hymn here...

thanks Mark!  hopefully I've redeemed myself from the last post?  which, BTW, I've reworked the bad spots in the vox and I'll repost again, thanks to your prompting!  (honestly!  not being snarky at all!)

I'm glad you like this and I hear you about the tempo change - maybe another time.

ALL - I've uploaded another version where I tweaked the verb back up a little.  hope that fixes it!

Hi, Reece,

I didn't hear the first mix, but this one really sounds great!

Everybody did a good job on their parts. I love the guitars and keyboards, the vocals and harmonies are fantastic, good rhythm section and the mix sounds right on the money for the genre.

Nice work, buddy, have a great weekend!

HI Beagle. I have not been down here in the songs forum for a long while. I just gave a listen and overall I like the mix. The song and vocals work well together. I did not really dig the odd spring reverby thing that jumps out a couple of times but... Its your thing. The only real critique is the same thing I have to work on, that is to find ways to change up the instrumentation a little on the different verses. Overall, well done.

Thanks Bob!  I appreciate it!

Thanks Tom!  Yeah, haven't seen you around in a while!  you're not the only one who doesn't like the echos, that's OK.  yes, I do need to work on building instrumentation differently.  thanks for the comments!
