This is nice!  Your voice sounds great here, IMO.  Drums sound great to me.  Love the bass too.  Interesting ending!  :)  Guitars (Dave?) fit in just right.  Harmonies seem right on too.  Check out 1:32 - I don't hear the 'h' on 'heard'.

    Nice one!

Kind of feels like a 5th dimention song? I loved the 5th dimention, so I like your song too.

    Hi Reece,

I really like this tune.  The mix ( especially the vocals ) sounds great to me.

Really like the acoustic guitar sound you're  (and Dave) getting on this.  Not crazy about the echo on the vocal ( starts around 2:24 ) but that's just me

    Excellent!

Nice job Reece!  Love the vocals.  Lead vocal just a tad too hot maybe?  Good playing all around.

Nice work Reece & Co. I like the sound of the acoustic guitar in spite of some timing issues... great harmony...  drums seem a little busy to me... bass could come up a bit...

Sounds pretty good.  +1 on the busy drums and the baass being too low.

I don't get the chorus at all, though. Going to a four on the floor beat and then to the weird rolls just throw me off completely. And the vocals seem to just start and stop and nothing is laying behind them when they do stop. Get rid of that extra measure in between the lines and I think it will flow much better.

I think you have a catchy chorus which people would pick up on straight away Reece, but that organ/drum fill thing is really odd, and it loses all momentum each time.

Likewise that weird echo-ey vocal treatment seemed to come out of nowhere; it really doesn't fit the song IMO.

Apart from that, the mix sounds OK to me, a little light on the bass perhaps. Your voice and the BGV's blend really well, there's a real nice warmth in the harmony sections.

bapu - you rascal!  thanks a bunch my friend!

Lynn - thank you, I appreciate the listen!

Tony - wow - high praise in my book!  that means a lot to me, you're a vocal superhero!  thanks!

Janet - thanks! I have difficulty singing "h" sounds if they're following other consonants.  when I have trouble, I tend to drop them.  that's what you're hearing.  notice I can sing the "h's" in other words, but that one bugged me because of it following the vowel "I" sound.  the distinction between the long "I" and "h" is what's hard for me.  sorry - I will continue to work on that!

Robby - thanks!  I appreciate the listen and the kind words!

Gary - you're not the only one complaining about the echo, but it is a matter of taste and for now I think I'm leaving it.  but thanks for the great comments and for listening!  I do truly appreciate it!

Jimmy - thanks man!  I tend to mix the vocals a little hot because I'm primarily a vocalist!  LOL!  just like I accused Warren yesterday or so of mixing the song he posted because the bass was hot!  anyway - I'll look at the vocal levels - thanks for the comments and kind words!

working on a new mix now trying to tame the drums and bring up the bass per suggestions.  I'll post more responses later...

    NEW VERSION UP NOW!

Herb - great!  thanks!  that's exactly what I was trying to accomplish!

Frank - thanks so much for the great comments!  I have a new mix up now with more bass and less drums!  let me know what cha think now!

James - I really did not see all of your comment until now!  did you edit and add that last paragraph later?  I've redone the drums, so hopefully they work better.  but I don't really understand exactly what you mean on the chorus, could you try to explain it to me?  the chorus is A | Dmaj7 | E6 | F#m | F#m

are you saying to get rid of the 2nd measure of F#m?  wouldn't that rush the next line directly into it?  I don't know?  I appreciate your comments very very much, if that's what you mean I'll play with it and see how it works.

James - thanks very much!  I appreciate your comments!  I changed the drums and simplified them, hopefully they won't be competing the space with the organ now.  let me know what you think.  I also increased the bass quite a bit and let it sound out.   thanks for the great comments about the vocals!  we appreciate it!   (OH - and I kind of like the echos, so I'm leaving them for now.  we'll see what happens as this progresses!)

bapsi - I increased the bass!  come listen again!!!

    Hi Reece,
Your production / song sounds pretty good .
it has a couple of rough spots , yet I can definitely imagine hearing something just like this if I walked into a church while they were having a musical praise and worship .
    in that light
your tune is pretty much spot on .

    all the best,

    Kenny

    Hey Reece
I love the flow of this piece.  The acoustic guitar and the catchy harmony on the vocals gave it a contemporary vibe.  Dave's bass line held this piece together and sit/sounds great in the mix.  KUDOS Beverly and Yvonne, your harmonies along with THE BEAG's strong vocals really gel nicely. Fact is the Chorus was my favorite part of the song.  GREAT COLAB!

Maybe I just wasn't listening as attentively as some of the others, but the piece sounded rally good to me, Reece.  I would also echo Tony's remark about how much your vocals have improved.  Should be really big in church.

Not a style I know anything about.

Mix sounds alright here, I find the lead Vox a little dry, but dry seems to be the norm today.
