should do. i like it's on for a few weeks too, gives time to save/get paid etc. Magnetic II looks interesting, i love the original version so let's see if the new emulations are as good...

After getting the $20 deal I was offered the opportunity to get everything else (50 plugins) for $99. Is it worth it? I'd think it probably is...

If you don't already own a bunch of Nomad's stuff it is absolutely worth it. It's one heck of a deal. Nomad's stuff is very good and you're basically getting everything they make for $99. This is one wacky November, indeed.

I think it is. Some of those bundles have been no-brainers in the past so it may not appeal to all but if you have nothing then you get a lot for $99. They seem to be selling off these packages cheap so you know it's not because they are selling like hot cakes. Make them cheap and they fly off the shelves. Hard to assess peoples views. There's been many and varied during the no brainer bundles. I know, I've read them. I think it'll come down to personal taste but if you have nothing to compare them to then there's no worry. If someone on here has got them and it's someone who tends to have a similar view on products as yourself then maybe their opinion would be best. I'd buy the bundle if I didn't have a few of the packages already.

I was kicking myself for months on missing the Magnetic/Echo special ... I think for a time you could get both for a hundred bucks. But this is *so* much better. Better still, I bought a Blue Tube no brainer some time ago, some effects that are part of the Integral Pack, so I think I won't even have to plop down an extra $20 for the mastering bundle in order to get a serial number with which to buy into the whole enchilada upgrade. Christmas in November ... gotta love it!

Kind of a bummer for me. I jumped on the $20 mastering bundle. Then I jumped on the $20 Mag II (since I own Magnetic) If I had waited a few hours, $59 more and I would have had it all. Wonder if I can get Nomad to refund the $40 if I spend the $99?

Well, truth be told Bapsi, you've probably got enough stuff already to make most of the "big" package redundant. I'm in the same boat as you. But I really don't want or need all the other Nomad Bundles of different compressors and eqs, etc... YMMV.

I got the $20 no brainer...and I'm very pleased so far. As one poor person who's been stuck with Boost 11 for all my work, I can say that first comparisons were much better. Boost 11 is ok for very light limiting, but it gets crunchy real fast... I'm finding the Nomad package to be much more pleasing to my ear. My sadness is that I released my album to the sales engine last week (release date is 11/23/11) and I could have mastered it so much nicer if I had the extra week... Oh well... I'm already working on the next album... ;-) I'll have to look at magnetic and I don't remember seeing the $99 offer.... I don't think I've got it right now anyway... Keni

OK. They got me! I broke down and got the $99 deal. I mean 50 plugs!! $2 a piece! I listened to the Analog Masters Plugs and decided I didn't need all those plugs! What was I gonna do with 50 more plugs!! But the more I started working with the Analog Mastering plugs I realized I'd be foolish to pass this deal up!! And Magnetic II is pretty sweet!!

Has anybody stopped to wonder why a vendor would offer every product it sells for $99? Surely this would pretty much guarantee zero sales for some time after they revert to normal pricing. I do not know the answer, but none of the hypothetical reasons I can come up with are positive.

Unless they are fixing to come out with a whole new line of something or other it just seems to me like they are all in the same boat as most of us in the music business these days...swirling down the toilet. And they're just trying to raise some capital to keep them going. I agree Bit, ol pal, it's a scary scenario...but one that's hard not to take advantage off.

I do not know the answer, but none of the hypothetical reasons I can come up with are positive. I thought about this as well and for them to practically sell it for $2 a plug is really unheard of (I suppose now everyone can afford to buy these) . My general goal is to collect all the best tools (one's I can afford) and learn to use them to get the best possible results. So, even if the vendor closed shop or discontinued these tomorrow, the bottom line is that the quality of these plugs will remain the same and that's what matters to me. Now, if they didn't work as advertised, that would be a different story.

IIRC you must be a previous Nomad customer for the $99 deal. Wouldn't that fall under the heading of customer loyalty discount?

OK, how about this hypothetical scenario: you buy these great plugins at a great price and use them on every project over the next year. Then you upgrade your motherboard - and suddenly none of them work anymore. You go to the NF website to request re-authorization codes only to find the domain has been taken over by a porn site. Sounds paranoid, sure. But it wouldn't be the first time that this has actually happened.

Luckily you only lose $99. Think of the people who have paid more. The last sale on this bundle was $350. They still seem to be updating stuff.

There's really no realistic alternative (if you want a product and are willing to pay for it...(full price or otherwise)). We can only hope that the $$ we're paying will help keep these developers in business so that they will continue to stay in business to support their products.....if you really look at it, what things in life are actually 100% certain (besides death & possibly taxes)?

Sorry BitFlipper, But once you have activated your plugins you own a "keyfile", who's let you authorize on any computer of your choice. See registration process + FAQ on NF website : make a copy of your license file. You may re-authorize your computer at any time, even if you format or replace your hard disk. I try it on 3 computers and all running well...

You may re-authorize your computer at any time, even if you format or replace your hard disk. Sure, you may re-authorize your computer - assuming there is still somebody home to let you do it. If the NF website goes down, you will not be able to re-authorize. (Try to re-authorize your Kjaerhus products...) The license is keyed to your hardware. That's why you have to run a special program (the Manual Activation Tool) on your DAW if it does not have an internet connection. Yes, you can format your hard drive and use the same license file you already have, but not if you've upgraded your motherboard or changed any other hardware that was included when the original key was generated. I'm not saying this is going to happen, but it is a real possibility and has happened with other small companies. It's enough of a real possibility to favor companies that use simple serial number activations. So maybe you can blow off this scenario because "it's only 99 bucks". True, I spent that much on supper last night. But haven't you ever re-opened a year-old or 5-year-old project? What if you couldn't? There's more at stake than 99 bucks.
