CUriously, when peopkle design logos, they always want to do a work of art, despite the fact that most real-life logos are usually just the name with a specific font style, and perhaps minor embellishment. (Think Ford, Chevy, Walmart, Kmart, Google, etc.)

I wonder if they do that in part to enhance name-recognition. If you place your logo in an ad that is 4 inches tall, the "p"s in "pupco" will be less than an inch tall, and that's the biggest letter in the logo. On the other hand, for an informal small studio, this might be appropriate.
