I think this forum went in the wrong direction.
I am here to read about facts and opinions in working with Sonar products, positive or negative, that is al OK for me.

However, I am NOT here on the forum to read about jokes I mostly donot understand (I am from France), or words like LOL I donot understand, or the constant kidding, beating and hitting between golden, platinum, bronze members. That makes no sense to me and it doesnot support anything.

So can you please all stop this negative and so-called humoristic remarks, and stay at the facts and opinions.
It will diminish the number of reactions on this forum with at least 50%.

Thanks,
Dick

if you want to find objective answers to your questions I'd check the user manual before posting here.

people here will always try their best to make fun of you, no matter who you are.

In your case I think it might be especially important for some people to try
and dissociate themselves from you, even though they actually like you..(!)
You being Dick & they being as**les and all..

No,stop,wrong direction..........
I love this forum specially cause it´s facts and opinions based with a good sense of humor, dick.
Forums which are not humor based are more and toooooo
much out there, specially here in good old germany.
And this forum is also a good possibility,to learn the
american, british and australian way of using language.

Thanks to all!!!!!

That was Dicks last ever post.

I wonder where he went?

If he can't cope with what goes on in this forum, I dread to think how he fared on certain other sites

LOL= Laughing Out Loud
ROFLMAO= Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A$$ Off

These are just harmless acronyms. Even though we have some fun here everyone will go out of their way and try to help you with whatever issue you face using Sonar. All you got to do is speak up. So if you happen to have a serious issue just let us know....

Should move this to the Coffee House.  They'd have fun with it over there.

@OP: The quality of this same forum is a major factor in my staying with Sonar.  Some fantastic knowledge, and readily shared.  Not only that, but I've seen many instances of genuine support when people have personal crises. And hey, we are 'artistes'.  If you want permanent seriousness sell your music gear and study for a CFA.

<<EDIT>>
Hmm.  Some of your stuff is actually pretty good - I did like 'Early Reflections'.  I could comment on the mix but that's for the Songs forum.  Don't bother with the CFA - stay, and go with the flow.

I am NOT here on the forum to read about jokes I mostly do not understand (I am from France), or words like LOL I donot understand,

So we need to only talk about things you understand. If we talked about everything you understand already, then what questions knowledge do you seek in here, since everything we are only "Allowed " to talk about things you already understand.

That's not kosher. You cannot dicktate what we can say, no pun intended  lol

This is moderator failure on the forum. To let something go on this long is cruel. I guess a lot of people on the forum have no common sense. Great display of teasing a member for honestly saying what he thinks. To let this go on so long and the moderators to do nothing brings Cakewalk to a new super low level.

@dan... Meh. This place is really quite chilled out and polite for an online forum BUT it is still the internet and you can't just go around dictating how to behave to other users who are following the TOS.

Personally I find the OP legitimately offensive. We are all here to learn and help one another but we also get to know each other's personalities. I like to joke around in real life as I'm sure many others here do. We're musicians. Notorious clowns. Are we supposed to become dry humorless automatons devoid of all personality just because we logged on? That would make for one BOOOORING forum. The topics discussed here are by nature mind numbingly dull. Throwing in some laughs to take the edge off can help with the learning and communication process.

Upset? LOL.

maybe not you, but if you read the responses of those who have posted since this thread was resurrected, yes, some people are upset.  beepster specifically says he was offended, people are making fun of his name and his nationality because of the OP.  seems that some are upset to me.

all because someone decided to post a reply to a 2 year old thread.  and those who posted replies in the last 24 hours would never have known this thread existed if it hadn't been replied to by a 1 post poster.  and the OP hasn't been back since he posted this.

all of this, to me, is funny.  If you don't see it the same way then C'est la vie!

@Dan... Perhaps that was a little saltier than necessary and that's probably the most vulgar post I've made on here but I just woke up and reading that OP irked me. The difference is I was joking. The OP was legitimately attacking me and my friends by snootily suggesting that somehow we are bad forum denizens for having a bit of fun while we muddle through the enormously dry and at times frustrating subject of audio production. Peace.
