45/ (The sound of a violin Tuning Up) Forty Two years I've been contributing to this forum and I've seen the good times and I've seen the bad times. I've met plenty of REAL friends along the way. But this thread just confirms that I don't belong here anymore, I've watched with sadness the decline here people don't help each other any more, and worse than that I probably just about get the respect I deserve.

So as not to spoil the party I'd just thought it best that I should leave while I still have some fond memories, but pay no attention to me and just have as much fun as you can without me. I vowed that if things hadn't improved by the time the light went out I'd be gone, so I guess they never got any better.

I'm not for turning on this so don't attempt to persuade me to stay, but if you'd like to try my email addy is in my profile which I'm gonna keep jus' fer sentimental reasons.

Regards to all my REAL buddies. (You all know who you are.)

Only because their lamps don't fit in any known socket.

Don't forget:

One to tell you that a light bulb is not the best choice for his setup. An LED lamp would work much better.

Actually the strange thing is the LED on my monitors power switch has died. I'm just debating whether I can live with that or attempt to fix it bringing the potential of a far more catastrophic problem...

If you look closely at your license agreement with Cakewalk, you will see that you only have the right to "use" the light bulb; you do not own it. Therefore, if you change the light bulb, you will be in violation of the license. I suggest you upgrade, instead.

You really need to wipe the socket and do a complete reinstall if you want the bulb to operate glitch free.

Hey if you had a room with no windows, an automatic light switch programmed such that when the light was off, it turned it on, and when it was on, it turned it off, and all of this happened at the speed of light, what state would the room be in? Would it be dark or light?

Some people call me Maurice

SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc.  Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad.  2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1.  More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent.  Zendrum!!!

you really need to trust your most valuable piece of equipment ---- your eyes

then make sure that your room is properly visually treated - I use the optilex panels for maximum visibility

and don't forget lumen traps

If you believe, anything's possible, or impossible, or purple. Or perhaps the contemplation of light bulbs is no more than a gravelly-throated masterpiece waiting to do a passable and/or formidable tango. But why would one wait to dance? One would not.

Here's the best plugin made for the light bulb. Warning: it has to use the bitbridge for 64 bit sockets.

It has automatic sensing and will convert dark to light with the lowest latency.

13. Is the 'old fart' that insists gas mantles used to produce a 'warmer' light with a richer character.
