Nicely done, Bub. I LOVE the harmony, and I like what kind of feels like a country vibe to me. Sitting down on the "thin" or "short" parts of each dipthong is different and interesting. Most people would sing naaaaaaaaaaeet, and you did it differently and I dig it.

Bub you seem to have a knack for giving songs that slick timless sound that some of the old standards have. The work on harmony paid off as well. Great job man!

Rimshot, lpmike, derfunk, clean, starise ... thanks for listening and I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun to do. I wanted to do a couple of more like this, but unfortunately my wife has to burn vacation time and has the rest of the month off so no more recording this year for me. :( I played this and the acappello version for my wife and she said the acappello version is much better. She didn't care for the piano. I may post it too, haven't decided yet.

You have a good voice Bub. I have a friend from Oklahoma who has the same accent. I think he grew up in Texas though. It's real nice. You did a good job singing and recording, thanks for sharing. Julien

Lovely vocal harmonies. I envy people who can sing. One vocal of me is enough to send people running to the hills, let alone three. :-) Perfect piano acompaniment and well played. Great job Bub.

Hi Bub. Excellent take on this. I like the tone of your voice. Very classic. There is a bit of King like delivery in the beginning. It's pretty cool. I love the harmony. It's always interesting to hear how the singer is going to come in with the chorus but you handled it smoothly. Merry Christmas Bub.

Oh crud ... sorry I didn't reply to the last three people here chimed in here ... I started a new job right around that time and had zero time to hit the forums. Thanks for listening! The reason I came back to this thread is ... I've gotten 30 + hits on this song in the last month. Box.net tells me how many people have listened to a song, but it doesn't tell me who is listening. So whoever is listening to it ... thanks. Hope you enjoy it. Bub.

You got it right, Bub. This is a great song, and now that it's October, never too soon to start the Christmas season.
