Ok, here's my dilemma ...
I'm hungry, there's no food in the house, the wife is out of town for a week and she said she'd divorce me if I spent a single penny on anything while she was gone seeing how I quit my job with no backup plan. I'm hungry damn it. Food or divorce ... I'll leave it up to you ladies and gentlemen. Please discuss ... quickly, I'm frickin' hungry!

Exactly what I was thinking. Go for a bike ride...guarantee to bag a deer....just shoot it though... Start a tab at the market? Pay it when she gets back.

Hmm, all great ideas. The corn is what they call field corn. It's not very good until they process. Kind of yukky actually. And to think, this is the first year I didn't put out a garden. *sIgH*

Ring her, tell her you got a new job. When she gets back tell her it all fell through but you've since eaten all the food. Then cling to her ankles and beg her not to divorce you. Really go to town with the begging, make her proud.

Bub Hmm, all great ideas. The corn is what they call field corn. It's not very good until they process. Kind of yukky actually. Yes...I know the stuff...worse actually after they process it. Less nutritious. We used to live in a rented house where the driveway ran a distance beside a field with this corn growing in it. I saw those huge ears and decided to pick half a dozen to throw on the grill. The steaks were good but that corn was the toughest thing I ever tried to eat. There's always dumpster diving..... The fast food joints throw away perfectly good food...(if you consider their fast food to be good in the first place).....also the dumpsters behind supermarkets are pretty much the same deal. I would consider THAT to be more edible than the fast food throw aways. There was a show on TV a few months back where the mission was to prepare a gourmet meal for celebrity chefs and food critics...all the food had to be picked from dumpsters and other throw away piles. Lots of good food out there if you know where to look. Check behind the supermarkets in their dumpsters.

For some odd reason that reminded me of that episode of The Simpson's where Homer decided to give his pet lobster a nice hot bath. :)

rsp@odyssey.net Sell me that Sheraton you stole. I'll pay you more than you paid and we'll keep it our little secret. Think BBQ ribs! Randy Heh! I got a sneakin' suspi-cion that an FN-Sales-G got in a bit of trouble over that. Somebody had to. It was only on the rack for a few business hours and I think it slipped through the cracks. IIRC, it's Sweetwater that has one in this exact condition used without a case for five something. I tuned it when I got home that night and it hasn't gone out of tune since. I still can't believe it. Hmmm ... I am willing to part with my Left Handed Gibson Custom Fretless Wonder though. I'm thinking that would buy a lot of McRib sandwiches. I'll take some hi-res photo's and provide a link so you can check it out. Comes with a non-Gibson hardshell case, but it's a heavy duty one.

rsp@odyssey.net Les Paul or SG? Les Paul. This isn't mine, but here's a pic of one that is identical except it's right handed. Just so there's no surprises, it's by no means in perfect shape, but plays perfectly, I just don't like the sound of it. I haven't touched it other than to wipe off fingerprints since I got it because I didn't want to wear off anymore gold plating.
