RE: Only see inputs 1, 3, 5, 7 Where are the even ones?

ORIGINAL: Superfly76 ORIGINAL: Lay In Wait I made Track Templates of all 24 hardware inputs on my system, which totally avoids the 1,3,5,7...... horror show, which is exactly what it looks like with that many inputs. Once they are made templates in Sonar, it is possible to name and categorize any way you like. Ive never looked back. Insert- Insert from Track template- Now pick one that you have named. Too easy. I would also encourage you to make a FR for this as well, so that new users can avoid the "1,3,5,7...... horror show" all together. I dont know man, the feature is there. Maybe its not in plain site, but it works and works well.
Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Core i7 920, Asus p6td deluxe, Sonar X1c PE, Motu 2408 mk3, Apogee Mini DAC, 3x UAD-1, Digimax FS, Motu Microlite, MCU, Tranzport, Nocturn. And more...

We are not asking to be able to rename inputs, we are asking that sonar would display all inputs with the correct numbers, none of this Left Right stuff. We would prefer that input 2 would be called input 2 not input 1 left. That is the feature request we are asking for and it is not in Sonar. An extention of that feature would be to be able to discretely rename tracks, that is, to be able to name them apart from stereo pairs.

I think the feature you actually want is an option to choose whether or not to treat audio inputs as stereo pairs. I agree it would be a nice feature but it's certainly not a "deal-breaker" for me.

I Concur with Superfly, Coming from another DAW Logic (Mac) and now Live! (Now I'm on PC). I'm Old School (SP12, S950,Oberheim Matrix 1000, W30) and I like My SP12 to be the Center of My Production (Master MIDI). Don't get me wrong I Love Sonar and I'm a Really Big Advocate of Recording & Mixing and the Highest Bit Depth Possible but the 1,3,5,7 thing was Really Confusing (Thanks to chefmike8888) for directing me to this section and Clarifying that issue. Hopefully it'll be corrected. BTW the other 2 DAW's Didn't have the 1,3,5,7 issue; not to add fuel but just an explanation of how it gets Confusing when Converting to Sonar 7. Thank You and Excellent Forum.
